On the Cahoot main accounts page, the upgrade button works ok for me, then choosing a Simple account to upgrade, the "Upgrade my existing account" also is ok (leads to my details.)

At least I still managed to get the Principality TA Issue 9 nudge up to 4.3% from the 4.25% 5A Issue 3. Some consolation #smallviolinplays

All sorted now seemed to corrected itself this morning. Thank you anyway for the information.

Cahoot Simple Saver
An email alerts me that I have a new e-Message, this says that my Simple Saver will mature in October and gives various options.
The account in question appears nowhere on my accounts list online and my spreadsheet says I closed it on 18 October 2025 (the same day this year that the letter says is the maturity date).
There won't be any 'lost funds' so not too bothered. Should I be?

Make sure you don’t miss out on Spring’s Accelerated Saver……5% but only up to £5k. Limited availability it says.

Posted in the no chat thread:
"The offer is run by Nationwide Building Society trading as Virgin Money."
'Brand New Customers Only' it seems (as long as you are an existing customer!)
Anyway, amazing to think that this is being offered from the same people that boasts:
Promise 1
We won't offer ‘brand new customer only’ savings accounts.
What this means for you
We don’t want to punish loyalty. You won’t miss out on savings accounts just because you already have accounts with us.

Seems like I, as an existing Virgin Money current account holder, with an existing linked saver account, am going to have to continue to be content with their measly 1.75% interest rate.

With cahoot, you can remove accounts from your list online.
I did this in the past, before they introduced the upgrade function. An account had 'matured' so got automatically converted to a low paying savings account. I withdrew the whole balance (including the interest just paid on the matured account). I sent off a secure message to tell them to close the account. They said that was not permitted via secure message and that I would need to call them. I just removed the account from the list and forgot about it. (not least because they had closed a similar account previously on my request by secure mail, but they refused this time despite me telling them they did it before for me)
12 months later they sent a warning that if I failed to bring the account up to the minimum balance, they would close the account. Took me a while to work out what they were on about, as the account was no longer in my online list. Then I remembered (thanks in part to my own record keeping), so I ignored them. 2 months after that, (i.e. 14 months after I requested them to) they closed the account.
Could something like that have occurred to you?
ETA: Actually, they had introduced the upgrade function during that 14 month period, so I could have upgraded the account if I wanted to (and deposited at least a quid), but I was more interested to discover if they ever would close the account without me calling them, which they had previously told me was the only way I could get the account closed. I never called them, and the account was closed eventually. Everything comes to those that wait

Really interesting. Sounds like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Either that or they just break promises…..annoying.

From a quick scan of the terms - could closing your NW and VM current accounts now, leave you eligible to apply for the CA with the 5.09% fixed & EA linked boosted saver?
There appears to be time, and AFAICS there's nothing that says you can't ever have held those CAs.
There is the risk that they decline your application though.

Thanks @gpman , absolutely right. Not one but two SS (£10 each!) that I must have chosen not to display (and not in my own spreadsheet of active accounts).
Suspect I may have done it when it was still possible to use the app and screen real estate is more valuable.
