Double Access (1-4) falls from 4.0% to 3.65% and ISA Single Access (1-2) 4.4% down to 3.95%, also all from 22:08.janusdesign said:Aldermore Easy Access Account (Issues 1 - 19) & Easy Access Account RS (Issue 1 - 4) (which is what their RS matures into) dropping from 3.55% to 3.15% AER on 22nd August.0 -
So whats the best deal now to move all my money from Atom too?0

It depends on what day of the month your interest is paid. If it’s between now and 22nd you may as well wait until that day if you’re happy with 4.6%.porcorosso said:So whats the best deal now to move all my money from Atom too?0 -
Just to rub it in Atom have now emailed me twice about the reward rate dropping ! Ok ok atom I get it I’ll shift my money lol2

What gets me is on the 30 July their rate was 4.75%AERBridlington1 said:
I'm holding onto Atom, albeit with nothing in it, in case they decide to do a Zopa and suddenly offer me a beta current account with cashback and regular saver to tempt me back. We can only live in hope I suppose.allegro120 said:
Even 4.6% is too low. Snoop pays 4.6% without complicated conditions. Atom’s 4.75% was competitive, I’ve used it for a short time, but now it is useless. I’ll keep the account though just in case it becomes useful at some point in future.frosch411 said:
Yeah, just seen this in the app (cos I saw a post on the No chat thread about this and checked in the app as I hadn't received notice about this yet).13zero8 said:Flippin eck.... Atom Instant Saver Reward dropping by a whopping 0.6% from 4.60% to 4.00%.
Bye bye Atom, it's been good.
This is really a big drop..not sure I want to stay at this rate..shame really 😖
On the 31 July it went down to 4.60AER
Now 22 days later it drops again another 0.6% to 4.0%AER
that’s a total drop of 0.75%AER in 23 days.2 -
It is rather a sharp drop I shall confess. For me it was never quite high enough to fund more than the minimum and is currently empty anyway so it's not so much of a great loss. If they do come up with something useful in the future, splendid, if not it just sits there unused indefinitely.MichaelAP said:

Snoop Easy Access Savings (Issue 1) paying 4.6% went NLA today - to be replaced by Issue 2 paying 4.30%... so possible that emails / app notifications will be sent shortly if existing accounts will be reduced in line.allegro120 said:

@soulsaver - i'll mention you although I know it's not one for your top 10, it might be worth a post in the no-chat thread.

My interest with Atom gets paid today, so rather than move it all now to the Chase Boosted Saver (only other instant savings account I currently hold) should I wait until 22nd then withdraw the whole lot from Atom in order to get the current 4.60% rate?0

Could be that the 5% 12 month term for the upgraded accounts just starts from the day of upgrade? As one of my upgraded accounts is set to monthly interest I’ll at least be able to check early on that I am actually getting paid the true 4.89% (5%) rate.SJMALBA said:It looks like there may be some inconsistencies with Cahoot's upgrades?
FWIW, my two Simple Saver upgrades both show the correct rate (4.89% monthly), but each has the original accounts' opening dates, so one expires in a couple of months, the other in May next year.0 -
that plan fails on this now being a new month, so if you made a withdrawal on 22nd, you would be paid interest at 2% from now until the withdrawal date.SickGroove said:My interest with Atom gets paid today, so rather than move it all now to the Chase Boosted Saver (only other instant savings account I currently hold) should I wait until 22nd then withdraw the whole lot from Atom in order to get the current 4.60% rate?
if it were me, I would withdraw the whole balance and put it in Chase for now - the difference between 4.6% and 4.55% is not worth worrying about.
though worth remembering that Chase will soon drop to 4.3%, so get yourself a Cahoot Simple Saver at 4.55% and you will have that rate for at least the next 2 months... then when Chase drops, move the balance to Cahoot.1
