No.  The untrained CNBC staff really should NOT be saying stuff like that to small claim litigants in person. Of course you don't need a solicitor!

I have started to fill in the N244 form.  But just wanted to check if I had the following correct and perhaps get a bit of guidance:

    3.  What order are you asking the court to make and why?
An order that the judgement in default is set aside pursuant to CPR 13.2, alternatively 13.3, and the defendant be allowed to file a defence in the case. The defendant only discovered the judgment when they received a letter from DCBL.  The Claimant served proceedings at an address not used by the Defendant since November 2023.

10.What information will you be relying on, in support of your application?
I ticked the attached witness statement

The box provided - If necessary, please continue on a separate sheet
I don't really know what information I should put in there.

But you will do when you read the CCJ thread by @Zbubuman   and the five linked examples of WS in the CCJ set aside section if the NEWBIES thread. You also need a Draft Order.

Show us the POC (redact your name & VRM).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've been in your situation, the people on here will help you overcome it. You dont need legal representative.

It's just an automatic copy and paste scam, abusing our legal system to try scaring people into payment.
Thanks.  I am currently so overwhelmed by all of this and so I am struggling to process everything and make sense of what exactly I am currently doing.  I am hoping someone will be able to help me/walk me through exactly what I need to do and say.  I am going to need help with my WS & Draft Order.

    I already did. :)

I gave you a direct link to the username of a poster whose CCJ thread documents you can literally copy & adapt in one evening.  Can't get much easier than copy & paste from one done earlier, that has the wording you need.

@Coupon-mad - thanks.  Apologies I did see you mention the thread by @Zbubuman, but orgianally could not find it but I finally manged to find their post.  In there I can see as that before filling the N244, he sent a letter to "Gladstones" which I persumme was their solicitor, but in my case this would PE Ltd (as listed in the POC)?

I am truly grateful for your guidance and help.
