I only managed 12 minutes on the cross trainer, and my legs were shaking so much, I couldnt look at calories on the display :p

If the shaking stops, I might try and do some more, maybe getting up to the half hour in 2 or 3 goes ;)

  • Ive got to pick an exercise bike up from freecycle tomorrow, so im ready to go for the burn.Im going to get the ipod ready and away I go.
Have signed up for the ww on line one week trial too.
The thing is im always like this at the begining then I gradually get bored and give up.How do I stop this happening.
DS came home from school and we had a cup of tea, DS got out a big plate of bisciuts choc fingers, breakaways and hob nobs, it was so hard to resist. Those choc fingers were calling my name.
  • You are all making me feel so guilty - I am (excluding mini-break where I ate like a big fat pig) doing OK on the diet part but shifting my big fat pig butt off the sofa is proving a wee bit more of a challenge for me.

New mantra: 'to be a goddess one must exercise' (or even 'to not be obese one must exercise' - I don't know I could muster up goddess even if I were the holy grail of a size ten)

Well done on the exercise bike SSH.

I usually get bored too, but being part of this challenge helps.

I can do dieting, but I've never stuck to exercise before. Now, I feel I've got to make an effort because I dont want to let everyone else on the challenge down.

The staff room table was buckling under the weight of chocolates and biscuits today, but I managed to resist :T

    Tell me about it!
I work on a childrens ward and it was chocolate city, we had loads donated and even more given to us by patients.Wel still be eating them at Easter and then more will come, and so the cycle continues.
I wish I could develop a chocolate allergy or aversion!

Please God, help me to resist temptation. How long do you think i should go on this bike for, I have not taken regular exercise for about 3 years.I had a go on DS wii at Christmas, did some boxing and couldnt move my arms properly for 5 days.

I did half an hour, but just see how it goes. You might surprise yourself, like I did.

Wii boxing is hard - we have Mario Olympics, and my arms were agony over Christmas from running the 100 metres :rotfl:

I'm really determined to resume the weight loss. I was doing really well, then Christmas mucked it all up

Morning folks, I'm feeling crappy this morning and it's so stupid it isn't funny. Actually it's bloody ridiculous and I'm shocked it's bothered me.

    :grouphug:

Hurt feelings aren't ridiculous. :naughty: They are cracks that take time to heal - and berating yourself is like picking at the scabs.

The thing is, my ex'es new girlfriend has posted a bunch of photos on facebook from new years eve. It was a party in our house, well, his house now. Seeing him in photos doesn't bother me in the slightest, neither does seeing him with her, I'm well over that, although it did make [STRIKE]me feel[/STRIKE] him look a bit old and fat (she's 23, he's 47)

I've just corrected that for you. Your spelling is shocking...

Seeing a party in the house did bother me and I don't know why. I did love that place, it is a beautiful converted barn, there is still a bunch of stuff there that I bought, the decoration is all me (although I see he's ripped out the kitchen and is having a new one).

So you've been split up quite a while, and he still hasn't found anyone who can match your interior decorating taste. Bit of a score for you eh?

I guess it all just bought back a bunch of feelings but it is silly, I've got a new life now, he's still serial dating and I would never go back in my wildest nightmare.

Nor should you. You have memories of that relationship and it just brings forth feelings of inferiority. I'll not pry, but just say: You're well away from that now. :grouphug:

Ok snap out of it now, time for a coffee I think. See my second post on this thread and I'm already way off topic :)

After recovering from my initial 12 minutes on the cross trainer, I did another 8 minutes and I've just made myself do another 10 minutes.

I'm shaking so much I can hardly type, and my legs are like jelly. How the heck am I going to get up stairs

    I cant believe I managed 30 minutes, albeit in 3 tries :T

I did have a long walk down the beach today but only cos I parked in the wrong place - was meeting someone. Bracing wasn't the word for it and I nearly went back for the car but thought I could do with the exercise (and in works time too). on the down side I found an open packet of dark choc, expresso bickies and felt it would be unMS to bin them so had to have the last two (ok it was three then).
