..not sure why you need to keep posting about this??....you have been given all the advise you need in spades. Just block their numbers and ignore them....

Citizens advice:
1. They’ve definitely ripped you off. We think you should take it to court and you will win - we will help you do it.
2. If you feel that you have a case your option is to go to small claims court. We can only give information on the process, not on whether this is a route you should take or not.
Pretty sure I know which of those two was actually said. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
P reg makes it 1196/1997? So it's a 27 year vehicle even if imported more recently than that. So it was in good condition for it's age and no-one should expect it to be pristine.I know it's hard to do, but I'd try not to worry about it unless court happens. The court thing is almost certainly bluff and bluster and going to come to nothing. If somehow it did, it's under the threshold for small claims so it'd likely be the 2 of your in an office with a judge, you wouldn't require a lawyer or anything scary. You present your case, they present their and the judge decides. Private car sales are buyer beware so unless you explicitly lied about something it'll almost certainly go your way. They can't reclaim any costs so you'd only be on the hook for work they claim is missing. So if a series of unlikely things don't go in your favour, you're only going to be out of pocket by maybe £500.4

Just wondering, do you have legal cover on your insurance (you really should take it ) they might help you out if the SHTF.
Nothing to see here, move along.1 -
So an old MOT showed a number of advisories?
An MOT record that is available to be looked up by anyone at any point? Like prior to purchase?
If anything that goes against the Buyer. They failed to do their due diligence before purchase.
Anyway as stated above numerous times - block & ignore.3 -
hi all, well, I got a court letter today.
I am not surprised as he has been threatening this from the start. However, he has brought so many things into his claim, including an advisory from January 2021 but I didn't own the vehicle until July 23rd 2021.
The advisory was dealt with as there are none on the next MOT. I did every single repair, advisory, (respray just because I wanted to)
He has sent me photos of where he has taken the fog light out of its housing ?? and he has stated my mechanic knew all of the faults he is now having (gear box pipe corroded and dumped oil on the road 2 months after buying van) I paid over the odds in 2022 for full removal of old underseal and all new underseal was applied because I WANTED TO ENSURE FOR MYSELF everything was good underneath,
He is saying the underseal was done to hide gear box pipe corrosion.
I now have to log into a court system to try and defend myself.
I am worn out.0 -

I will try to add a copy of what he is saying but I have been printing out lots of information for the last 3 hours and I am done for today.
The gist of his ACTUAL complaint is that he asked if cam belt had been replaced. I said yes, because when I bought the van this was what I asked and was told yes. I have had a regular garage look after my van for the last two years and he can vouch that everything that needed doing was done by me, every single advisory was dealt with at the time. There was already a huge folder of receipts for previous work which I acquired when I bought the van. Over my 3 years ownership I added so many more receipts and invoices to the folder it was at least 2 inches thick. I never said or implied I had the belt changed.
He twists everything to favour himself and I am just being honest about how well looked after the van was, it was my pride and joy and it was the last thing my late mum bought for me as it was bought with the small amount left to us from her house sale.
I have been bombarded with texts, WhatsApp messages and letters from him and his wife and he has stalked my Facebook groups copying any questions I have asked in the Bongo groups I was in to try and use them as 'evidence' as he calls it, he was banned from one group for slating I am a liar. I advised him to join the groups I was in so he could make the most of his van. I have never been to court before and I can't afford a solicitor unlike them as I am only on state pension. I apologise for going on a bit but it is very distressing.1 -
First thing I would be looking for is has he any proof that the cam belt hasn't been changed? I.E. a mechanic stating it's the original
