Ditto to all the above. I've just come here looking to see if anyone else has had an issue, you have.

Changed my reading date from July to June to be in line with everyone else, and then probably got inundated on an untested system.

Ir doesn't help their cause for when they continually badger me to fit a 'smart meter'

I've just received an email from EDF attaching the statement for the reading I submitted on 1st June. On the statement it says the payment will be creidted to my bank account, which contradicts the previous email. I wonder if it really will go into my account or if I'll get a cheque in the post? Hopefully everything will be back to normal for the next payment in September.

EDF promised to send me a cheque, which they did several days later. Sounds like you will probably get a direct payment into your nominated bank account. That's probably good news as it suggests they have been able to link your FIT contract number with your bank details in rebuilding profiles on new system.

Yes, me too… money overdue, confusing email replies re ‘in bank account within 5 days of this letter’ then when nothing received & repeat complaint another reply saying ‘cheque in the post’.  They have always been so efficient; this is a complete disaster & will lose them loads of customers including myself.
i seriously wonder whether this website should be publicising the new EDF energy tariff! I phoned EDF CUSTOMER SERVICE to enquire about it & gave up in frustration as after a very long wait i spoke to two separate folk who could not understand me or me them on a truly dreadful line.
What i’m really suspicious about is the change in ‘tone’ used by them in their coms. It had always been simple, clear & correct. Now it’s all ‘Hi’ & spiel about rewarding me ‘for all that lovely energy…’ Aargh!

If you're suddenly suspicious about companies being overly friendly, have you been living in a cave for the past decade?  It's nothing unusual.

Payment from June 1 reading still not received - either by cheque or BACS. Anyone else still waiting?

Having moved our FIT payments from EDF to Octopus back in mid April, and heard nothing from EDF, we have finally received our final payment from them  direct to our bank.  No statement from them however, which we have always had in the past.
  • Hi. I can mirror the experiences, that I went to the new EDF FiT system, provided my readings on 1st June (but it didn't ask for the usual total from my Smart Meter export reading), and they informed me that I may be receiving the money by cheque. I was also asked for a photo of the meter for proof of the reading within June. I then was told via email that I'd receive the money into my bank account in 5 working days, and nothing has arrived. However, the new thing is that yesterday (1st July) I received an email I think from the old system asking for my meter readings including the export reading. I emailed them yesterday morning to ask about it, so far without reply. I may try phoning this morning.

Still no payment from EDF. Telephoned on Monday and was advised "cheque in post" - not heard that one for a long time!

Apparently sent second class (can you believe that?) on the 24th and I needed to wait 10 working days before I could chase them.

Still nothing received either in the bank or post as of July 4.

I'll be wasting another half hour on the 'phone later then.

    Not great.

How have people found the experience of moving their accounts? Presumably this doesn't mess the original contract/FIT rates up?
