You can submit your defence any time before 4pm on Monday 1st July 2024 as advised by @KeithP in an earlier post.

The para about PoFA 4(5) as far as I can see, applies s long as the driver is also the keeper. It is the keeper part that applies. It would not be relevant if the defendant was the driver but not the keeper.

You can't have that paragraph 4 and 5 together.  It's one or the other.

Para 4 only works in a case where the keeper wasn't driving. The POFA means nothing to an admitted driver as you admit in 5.

I've submitted the Defence and have received an acknowledgment email.

    What are the next steps?

There are 12 first steps that you already saw when you read the Template Defence thread. Sadly we can't cover this stage of normal forms/letters on every thread, one by one.

What happens next is as seen in those 12 steps. The only update is Mediation is now compulsory (which is a new change).  You MUST attend a useless Mediation phone call pointlessly nagging you to settle.

    Okay thanks Coupon-mad.

I’ve received an acknowledgment letter for my defence by post.
And also received the “intend to proceed” letter from the claimant.

I’ve also received this today, do I fill this out according to the advice from steps 8-12 (from template defence)?
