SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I assume I need a data cable for the USB programs, as flashing and firmware changes are risky enough without the vagaries of wireless (Wifi and BT) connections?
Off to Ebay unless there is cheap high street place for SEP990i accessories I think I need a USB cable, car charger and case.Seth.0 -

Not on the these refurbs, phone, battery and wall charger.

Orange took the IMEI of the 990 and will add £20 to my account as a charge and post me the unlock code.

Got the phone, Orange unlock code on the way thanks to the "script!" £20 on my next contract bill, they will email me the code in 10 days!
Borrowed a USB cable from a chap at work.
Backup the GDFS and stored safely as a ZIP file in case of emergencies
CDA set to world 1
Debranded to SE software MUCH NICER :j
So very happy!
Couple of quick questions:
I would like to NOT use the Orange internet service at all (as it is not free). At work and Home I have Wifi which I'd love to use for email, web and RSS to pull down MP3 podcasts. Is it possible to setup the phone to 1) Never use Orange internet 2) use my home and work Wifi hotspots automatically?
I think I need to set up the Wifi access points for this to work? At work they use WEP 336 Access points all with the same name (the phone lists them individually!) and a 50 char SPK. At home I use WPA with a 63 char random key. Is there a way of copying a text file with keys on it to the phone and then not having to type these strings in?
Still cannot get over how BAD the Orange firmware was and how nice the SE f/w is!!
Thanks for all the help :T

orange and vodafone do a pretty good job of wrecking the firmware and whenever i get a vodafone/orange one to fix, i always debrand them asap (cant stand their branding)0 -

All done could not find a "Paste function" for the WEP or WPA key so I typed it in carefully! All working fine, cancelled the Orange GRPS Wizard so no mobile connection which is what I wanted! Excellent thanks.
Will use a BT Keyboard at home to enter the 63 character WPA stringgaming_guy wrote: »orange and vodafone do a pretty good job of wrecking the firmware and whenever i get a vodafone/orange one to fix, i always debrand them asap (cant stand their branding)
