Question about the 20 debit card transactions for the £10 a month:

do these 20 transactions need to be done in the first month of opening, alongside the 5 debit card transactions to get the £100? Or do the 20 transactions start the following month?

I applied for my card 1st June, I have done 5 debit card transactions. Wondering if I need to do 20 more before July, or if I just do my 20 in July.

The T&C's mention the 'first 6 months'. So personally I'm looking to do 20 in the first month also. It's why I held off switching until this month, give me plenty of time.

They start the month you open your account. You've already done 5 in June for part A of the offer (£100), you need to do another 15 in June for part B (£10). Don't leave it until the last minute to do these, the debit card transactions need to have processed in June to count, which takes at least 2 working days.

I opened a tsb current account on 1st June. Showing with my other tsb account online now. Pin received Monday. No card yet. Maybe it will be in the next tranche of post Royal Mail deign to drop on my doormat? Slow.
Ive tried their ‘chat’ service but it let me type my question then give an error message saying try again in two minutes. Now won’t even let me type a question.
It’s all been said before and probably by me…………
Phoned the lost and stolen number for speed. Ropey line to India but guy was ok. My card not missing it was never sent. Card should arrive in a week. So open account 1st June, get card 20th. Wonder if the pin I did receive will work or be sent another, possibly even more delay. Then need to spend 20 debit card transactions. Who would have thought by creating the very best scenario for getting the  account up and running I will end up time pressured to get it all done by month end!

Just applied for this account and chose 2/7 as the switch complete date, because I thought it'd give me nearly a full month to do the multiple card transactions.

However, I only just read the T&Cs (lol) which mentions

    > "AND do the following by 5 July 2024:"

I think it's fair to assume that you don't have to wait on your switch to complete and that you're meant to start using the card rightaway?

I also assume the '21 days' in the following bit

    > " Submit a full switch request via tsb.co.uk or in branch to your new TSB Spend & Save account or Spend & Save Plus account using the Current Account Switch Service. The switch must be initiated before the offer is withdrawn and completed within 21 days."

refers to the usual 7-day switch process not taking more than 21 days, not the no. of days between account opening date and switch completion date? If it's the latter, I think I've just about managed to squeek in but it's such an odd condition if so.

Apologies if these have been answered already.

    Yes, that's correct.

You can have your new account open for as long as you like but you must start your switch before the offer is withdrawn, and then complete it within 21 days to get the £100 (part 1). Most switches take around 7 working days.

The 21 days only applies between account opening date and switch completion date if you apply for your account before the offer ends but your account is opened after it ends. In this case you don't get the £100 (part 1) but are eligible for the double cashback (part 2) and partner offer (part 3).

I opened my account in late May and switch completed 7June.  I have so far only completed 2 card payments so far this month but will top up to 20 for June.  My question is as the account was opened in May and no card payments made in that month will I still qualify for the remaining months if I make the 20 card payments?

Yes, you can still get 5 x £10 cashback payments, assuming you fulfil all the offer conditions.

Recent posts on here made me realise I forgot to actually initiate the switch. Silly me. I've done it now, but it won't complete within 21 days of account opening so I'm hoping it will be okay. I've done everything else so fingers crossed.

The 20 debit card payments are a bit easier than I thought, when I am in the co-op I use the fast lane tills and put one item through and pay and then the other item through and pay.  Only when the store is quiet though.
