Going to try to stick to a £60 budget. Have done my menu plan for this week and shopping. Next week will just buy milk, fruit and vegetables and use up freezer food - have £11 to spend on this so should be ok.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

Spent another £10 on groceries today which could have been avoided really. As could the lunch in a greasy spoon and cab fare and cokes in a pub! Still, it's a learning experience and I am becoming a lot more aware of where our spending habits lie. Still on course re grocery budget, but could do better with silly "treats" we don't really need.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0

No spending for me so far today so looking good. Have menu planned til the end of the month now, off to Sains tomorrow for most of it then will just need fruit and veg, milk and bread (she says optimistically). It's going to be v difficult to stay under budget this month (got to buy hay and cat food as well as all goodies already bought) but I'm confident we will spend a lot less overall this year. We WILL!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Thank you very much Waddy80 and Mollymop5 for making me feel welcome.
What a lot of tips and advice there is on here, it's just taken me half an hour to read them all and note down some good ideas. I'm sure we'll all benefit even if we don't quite manage our targets.0
