Thanks Jacks that made me :rotfl: :rotfl:
turquoise is an interesting choice of colour!
You have made me think now, I wonder how many of my 'OMG what was I thinking, I am never going to wear that items' I brought during TOTM.
I think from now on I will stick to basic cleaning around my home, safer and doesn't waste money;)0 -
Not been on here in ages - it was all going swimmingly until DH didn't quite shut the freezer door (it's in the garage) and everything is completely defrosted  . I am having a major cookathon today to use all the chicken pieces and mince that were in there (and I really don't feel like cooking at all  ). He is being despatched to the supermarket to replace all the frozen veg that was completely ruined, but I can't replace about 8 plastic containers of chilli, spag bol etc that were all earmarked for meals over the next couple of weeks. He is using his money for it all though - it's not coming out of our grocery budget. The waste of all that food is depressing me a bit though.
I can't shop at the TOTM either
TDD xx
ETA - I've just realised that I haven't updated my sig - I was under again this week, but I can't remember how much it was!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Hi
Still managing well, was on £50 a week for 2 adults and 2 children, but since children went on to school dinners I have cut it to £40.
Cupboards and freezer did still have a bit in,reducing week by week.
Had to put batteries back last week as went over the cash I had!! They are getting to know me!! I just say, I have £20 cash, can you tell me when I am getting near that, putting items I could do without on last!!
Do main shop and Lidl with top up at Morrisons.
Finding having a seperate shopping purse helps so much.0 -
Morning all.
DH just got back from Lidl for me £6.40 on cleaning products and I spent £31.77 yesterday at Asda so a really good week for us. Now updating sig.
Good luck for next week everyone. We are nearly there.0 -
Just for info there was a really interesting article in The Observer today about rising food prices - in case anyone wants to read it it's

Not directly relevant for this thread but some might be interested, there was also one on fuel poverty

Larger spend for me this week of £35.82 as am running out of leftovers fast. That leaves me with 75.95 which will cover next week and the extra meal we went out for ahem on Friday [reason why is a long story] and part of the takeway which we'd already accounted for. However, did follow MSE principles and we went for an early evening menu at £6.50 a head as a damage limitation exercise:D

ANNIE123 AND JACKS, YOUVE HAD ME IN STITCHES!
how funny, thought it was just me what did this! belfast girl is right, its even worst then shopping on an empty stomach (which is deadly in itself). but maybe because of the hormones, or maybe the feeling sorry for myself, or maybe a mixure of them both (?!) i always but always fill my trolley with the unhealthiest cr4p i can find for THAT weekly shop (but dont realilse until i get home what ive done- when weve no actual proper food in the house but have no food budget left...)
