Well i`m sorta not very pleased with myself and sorta pleased ish.
I did my meal plan worked everything out and went online to do an asda shop.
Came in just under the £35 mark which i was very pleased with then guess what!
The free delivery codes wanted me to spend £50 or i couldn`t use one.
So in the end i stocked up on things like butter, flour and cat food to make the total up and used a code
There is no way on this earth i`m gonna pay the delivery charge and i`ve no idea where i`m gonna put all this extra stuff!
On a more positive note i should have enough of the basics and cat food to last all month unless the cat becomes suddenly ravenous.:rotfl:
* scratches chin wondering where to keep 8 bags of breadflour*
I`ll update the sig when i know exactly how much it`ll cost on delivery day.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
[STRIKE]Ooooh, I seem to be doing quite well on this[/STRIKE]. No no, if I say that I am guaranteed to fall of the rails.
Anyhow, spent £31.32 today, and it included everything I need for my meal plan for next week. Hope I haven't forgotten anything. Only things likely to run out are bread and milk (which seems to be doing down a lot slower now that it is 'bulked out' with H2O !!!
Well done to everyone who is still on track, and for those of you who aren't - its a learning curve. Can't expect to become experts at this without lots of practice !0 -
How many pages in this thread!!! wow, i have missed a lot in the couple of weeks ive been out of it.
Can i still join in?? i have just put my totals into december and have been keeping to my own rules for January. I must read this thread when i get a chance.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hi all,
Shopping this morning and spent €59.56, bringing my total food spend for this month to €168.16, leaving me with €151.84 until 31st January...hope it will last , having a little trouble at the moment with my guest who had a baby just before Christmas...she is drinking gallons of milk and uses things (like my precious tin of crab meat this morning) to have snacks on...eating at least twice as much as anyone else in the house...and she is a guest, so no contribution expected or offered! She is allegedly to be here for a month after baby is born...baby was 3 weeks old yesterday and she is not doing very much, has only gone for a short drive once with baby and really needs to be getting more used to it as when she goes back home she will not be going anywhere without the car...she really needs to get a budget worked out, have offered to help but it still hasn't happened...maybe I should just back off.
Sorry for moan, but don't want to feel that I am being made use of...ah to hell with it, she has nobody else and we won't starve!

I bunged some lentils, onions, mushrooms, peppers, courgettes, celery in the slow cooker the other week with tinned tomatoes.I then froze it.
I've just defrosted it so i'm going to mash some potatoes add it on top sprinkle a bit of cheese then bung it in the oven.Hopefully will come out ok and kids will eat itlost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Back from chiropractor and Lidl on the way home...back not great, but did well in Lidl
Got 3 bags of bread flour@ 48p each and 72 weetabix-style cereal for £1.69...result! My DS2 is eating 6 weetabix at every breakfast at the moment...aaargh!
Lidl total came to £4.33, so I had enough cash to pay for it...brill!
I was going into Tewkesbury to get my neighbour's pension later...but weather is atrocious and my back hurts. She is happy to wait until tomorrow, so I might do that. DS2 has an eye check in the morning, so I would be going in anyway...this way it saves petrol and keeps me dry (hopefully!).
Off to see if I need more buckets for my leaking conservatory roof!

I just couldn't resist it after seeing the soap nuts on Martin's TV programme tonight then finding out that £4 worth could last me a full year  I HAD to have them - think of the savings! I've updated my signature to reflect the new expense and am looking forward to playing at doing the laundry this weekend! Frugal and environmentally friendly!0
