KENT RELIANCE EXPERIENCES

I've had ordinary accounts with them no problem.
Did an ISA transfer for my mother and it took months and telephone support was difficult as it is "outourased" beyond the UK
Dealt with probate well and efficiently but the branch visit could best be described impersonal.
I'd go with them for basic savings0 -

I'm looking at moving my savings to Kent Reliance from Santander as they are reducing there interest rate significantly.
I have heard of Kent Reliance before but have always used high street banks.
Has anybody any experience of having a savings account with Kent Reliance good or bad??If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Mediocre. Slow and sometimes unreliable systems. Below average customer service. Decent rates.

I moved money from my Santander account to KR with no problems at all. I would have moved it to Cynergy but their over complex registration system failed repeatedly so KR got my business instead. .Rather surprised to see the negative comments about KR, actually. I've used them before without problems and haven't experienced any this time..0

They are on the high street. If you're in Kent, Chichester or LittlehamptonI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

All banks, building societies are great until it goes wrong.
How they deal with an issue is key.As you might see on previous posts, I like to complain when things go wrong.
Unlike others I have the time to do this.
I will not let it go either.
TSB compensation over 1k when they messed up their banking software a few years ago.
First Direct over 1k various issues, £135 interest for not moving 3 large sums for 5 days and £50 sorry.
£1.12p to make up their regular saver to the £136.50 interest shown in their paperwork.
Chase, £500.
YBS £50 for not sending info out that to have interest paid away you need to login and manually set this up.
All the above were voluntary on their part.
6 other banks and building societies have been on a trip to the Financial ombudsman.
So far 6 out of 6 were found in my favour.
Kent reliance was 5th on my list.
I got paid for, time, calls, parking, fuel for 2 visits to Rochester branch plus the agrovation caused.
Got me some satisfaction in the end.
Just waiting for a new bone to chew on.1 -

Chichester is open but like Littlehampton quite some way from Kent 😀0 -
I have had accounts with them for quite a few years. No real issues but they are well behind the times tech wise - money transfers in or out can take a day (they use a clearing bank - Nat West I believe) and they do not have an app. I actually found telephone support to be quite good though when I had cause to contact them about an ISA transfer.
I put up with the above because they have consistently offered decent rates.0
