And the last ewe has delivered! Hooray. Huge ram lamb, needed a hand with it, she's a first timer. Why do 17 of the ewes deliver in seventeen days, then we have to wait another 11 days for the last one?
Two loads of washing done and pegged out. Tea organized. Spoke to S-i-L on phone.

Evening all.
I have had a lovely day out but got the pensioners concession on the bus..eek. Time to dye my hair.
Before going out I hoovered through and mopped floors downstairs.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Quick check in from me, another long day at the paid stuff then cycled with friends. Very tired.
Had to bring in the washing and put another load in, wash up some bits that wouldn't go in the DW, gathered some salad from the garden, made my pack up and overnight oats for tomorrow and made the bed.7 -
I am thrilled…I found a lizard in my garden while putting the rabbits to bed. A real, live lizard.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

@pigpen sorry to hear about Pixie. I hope you can get an appointment soon and they can do something to help.@Valli I don't follow snooker so I'm none the wiser. Very exciting to see a lizard though. All I see is moths, moths and more moths.@mumtoomany I always say that lambs are like buses. You don't see one for ages and then 17 all come at once. This morning I took A to the podiatrist and she did a good job and even fumigated his shoes and socks in a machine she has as she confirmed his nails do have a fungal infection. She also told us about a product you can buy that will do the same job as her machine, which was helpful. She also gave him a textured plastic roller to put under his feet and push backwards and forwards which she said would be helpful in improving circulation and also gave him advice on strategies for reducing the swelling in his legs and feet. A was very pleased, as was I.I managed to get an appointment at the dentist this afternoon and he said the gum around the crown was very inflamed and gave it all a good clean and also gave me two different sorts of inter-dental brushes and said I should dip them in corsodyl before using them and also do salt water mouthwashes twice a day for 5 days. He said that hopefully that will clear it up and prevent an infection developing and to come back in two weeks for a review. My gum feels better already, thank goodness.Flying? Not much I'm afraid: just a S&S in the kitchen and the usual food prep and washing up.7

Morning all xx
Yesterday I went to H's for 11 and in my head I planned to be home at 1.30 ish. As I got up to go H said 'have another coffee' and looked disappointed when I said I was going. So I stayed....nowt spoiling as they say. It was about 3.15 when I got home. And I was ravenous and my peopling battery was flat. So I waited until 4 then ordered in pizza and onion rings. Cor they were good. And as they were lunch, tea and supper all in one the calories shouldn't be too far out. Just need to cut down a bit for the rest of the week.
Met Mia. 15 weeks old. Chocolate Cocker Spaniel. With the most amazing eyes. Apparently she is to be my god-dog and coming to stay here occasionally....I'm not sure if H was serious or not tbh. She's never said that about any of her other dogs. Anyhoo Mia isn't coming here until she learns that the kitchen floor isn't a toilet. Cute or not.
Cracked on with my knitting in the evening. I went a bit wrong somewhere so I need to knit 4 extra rows on the back and other front to make them match the front I've just about completed. Otherwise it's going to be lopsided.
I'm up, made my bed, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped my first brew. No more visiting planned.
I think there's a menage a trois going on with the blue tits and my bird box. Apparently that is a known thing with blue tits. Every day's a school day!
Brew 2 is required.
Have a good day. Hope all the poorlies are on the mend.

Morning all.
Glad you and A both got the help you needed yesterday, CoG.
Here's hoping that the same will happen for Pixie x
That's a good-sized chunk of lamb, mumtoomany! I'm glad my babies were on the small side.
I felt very tired for much of yesterday, as I had been woken up at 4.00 by the pain in my shoulder and knee. In the afternoon I went to my goddaughter W's school to help with a Geography workshop - basically, cutting out and drawing, and giving a few hints to the location of food-exporting countries on a miniscule world map. Afterwards I managed to return my library books (but couldn't find anything that attracted me to take it out) and do the weekly shop, and after that I was exhausted and in pain again. The only solution was to sleep it off and not go out to the church council meeting in the evening - such a shame! I dozed on the sofa, cooked tea, then went to bed early. This morning I managed to stay asleep until 5.00, when I was woken by the sunrise and birdsong. Still tired, though - and I've got a routine horse piddle appointment this afternoon, after which I have to drive to Millennium City to deliver birthday gifts to my two youngest godchildren, so Rosie will have to have a morning walk and I must cook our main meal for lunchtime.
I've just spotted the dust that has landed on my c-o-d because of having the windows open more frequently. It was clean this time last week. But thanks to Narco reminding us that it protects the wood underneath, I do not have a guilty conscience
Hope you all have a good day xxx

Today's plans have changed already, as my friend in Millennium City has to be in uni this afternoon to work on an assignment, so I shall go tomorrow instead. No problem - it's actually better for me, as I shall avoid the earlier Friday rush hour5

Valli, I was going to ask if it is a newt.. they are a threatened species and protected under the wildlife conservation act 1981 or thereabouts and you are not supposed to touch them, the oils on your hands hurt them like frogs and toads, their habitats are protected so you need to be really careful when gardening.. https://www.norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk/wildlife-in-norfolk/species-explorer/amphibians-and-reptiles/smooth-newt the crested newt is the next level of endangered and the males are brighter colours..
Pixie has an appointment on Tuesday with her favourite nurse.
