Ok, so I put my LBA on hold for 30 days as I didn't want it landing around Christmas. Claim form was issued 22nd Jan 25' Received it on Friday 24th Jan. Have just submitted my Money Claim dispute and received the response pack PDF with the only box ticked as 'I intend to defend all of this claim' - which is now £281 Inc costs.
So as I understand I now have 5 days from the 22nd plus 28 days to submit my defence, which will be 24th Feb by my reckoning.
I am just riffing here, making a note more for myself than anything. Time to burn the midnight oil! - Bargepole
For my defence I will mainly be concentrating on the inappropriate signage, believing it to be unclear as to exactly which bays are governed as there are quite a few spots in this car park that remain 'blank' so to speak. (see my earlier photos)
For the witness statement I also plan to take more photos and an actual view I would have received from the windscreen when I parked, which is no sign in front of the car whatsoever or anywhere near the bay in question.
Going to spend some time this weekend reading up on recent defences to get accustomed.
Any tips or coal hauling appreciated, thank you in adv.0 -
With an issue date of 22nd January, by your reckoning, unless you submit an Acknowledgement of Service (AoS) by 10th February, then that is also your deadline for filing your defence. If you do submit an AoS, then your "reckoned" deadline for submitting your defence is correct. You would have until 4pm on Monday 24th February.Unkas said:So as I understand I now have 5 days from the 22nd plus 28 days to submit my defence, which will be 24th Feb by my reckoning.
There critical issue here is submitting your AoS otherwise you are correct on your deadlines.1 -
"Have just submitted my Money Claim dispute and received the response pack PDF with the only box ticked as 'I intend to defend all of this claim' " Is that Not AOS? Acknowledgment of service is stated on the PDF.0

Why don't you re-read the second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread for advice on how to actually do the AoS?1

I've done exactly what it shows in that drop box link. You end at the stage where you receive a PDF or txt file with your edited response pack form.

Good. It was only acknowledging.
