Generally speaking there's several savings accounts paying a lot more than 2% but this thread is about a 12% switch offer.mo32 said:I’m VERY new to switching and been with YB/Virgin since a child. Now that the account is dropping from 2% to 1%…what’s the best advice on what to do - or who to move to?!

On this point though you can set up DDs on the Santander Edge account and not pay the fee. In order to start paying the fee you must have at least 2 active DDs on the account and pay in £500 in a single month. If you only set up the DDs you won't pay the fee unless you pay in £500+ in any month that you have the DDs on the account. This fact allows you to satisfy the terms of the Santander switching offer without having to pay any fees (there was some discussion about this in the previous £185 switching offer thread).steven141 said:
There are numerous switching offer available right now. Probably the best out of all of them is the Santander edge current account with access to the 7% instant access saver account and £175 cashback. There is a £3 per month fee if you set up direct debits. You can also access the Edge credit card which gives you 2% cashback for the first year then 1% cashback but there is a £3 per month fee.mo32 said:I’m VERY new to switching and been with YB/Virgin since a child. In the interests of keeping this thread on topic though it would probably be best to continue this part of the discussion in the £175 Santander switching offer thread.2 -
This just comes up. Your old bank account with DDs could earn more for you. £175Another one is Nationwide
"Get £175 when you switch an account held with another bank to a new Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver or Club Lloyds Platinum Account.
- You'll need to use the Current Account Switch Service to transfer a minimum of 3 active direct debits and close your current account held with another bank.
You won't be eligible if you've received an incentive for switching to a Lloyds Bank, Bank of Scotland or Halifax current account since April 2020. You may need to pay a monthly fee for the account. Offer ends 30 July 2024.
Another one is TSB. I personally have been very lucky with TSB and Nationwide. Also do not forget with TCB or Quidco. Another chance to get an extra of £20

No, it got pulled just as I gave myself a kick to get on with it. I did get a fiver Amazon voucher for being referred to snoop though, that was nice. I googled and used a random person's referral link.Ghostcrawler said:Anyone got £30 Amazon voucher applied through Snoop?0 -
Who used the snoop link? My son did, but no voucher yet but it hasn't been 30 days since he connected his account to the app.0

I am still waiting, nothing in email or app. I used the app to apply, connected immediately, should be there already, give them a few days then complainGhostcrawler said:Anyone got £30 Amazon voucher applied through Snoop?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Does anyone know if there's a way to find out the interest rate on the M Plus Account please? On the app I can see the interest rate below my balance on the M Plus Saver but I've now completed the switch and as I've had no confirmation that I qualify for the increased interest rate, I was just wondering if there was a way to find out on the app. I don't want to put my money in there for a whole month if I'm not earning the increased rate. Thanks.1

The rate doesn't start until 1st July0
-
Of course. However, I think I'm correct in saying it should have a 2.02% rate until then. I would still like to know if it's displayed on the app so I know where to look for the increase on the 1st.1
