No risk of CCJ if you follow forum advice.
No need to act yet but look out for a Letter before/of Claim giving you 30 days notice from a Legal firm.

Post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.  :)

But please don't copy & paste the standard reply here not Moorside's reply to it. Spare us all this template stuff at this 'nothing' stage. We don't need to check what you send nor do any of us want to see their daft reply ever again, please!

And if you want to be part of the push to change things in future, it's very important that people like you tell the Government that:

    a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 *almost* promised. As long as it is independent (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.

b).  THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND ENGINEERING A 'PAYMENT PLAN'.

c). Tell them about your experience and how your case got to pre-court stage due to the broken system that leaves people no choice.

Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it in August pleeease! We will discuss it on that thread in more detail by next week.

Please bookmark it & come back as we need another week or so to think about our 'recommended' responses to the Consultation a bit more (what we won't do is provide a template, for obvious reasons).

    Hi All,

Here it is the Court claim form (attached)
Although the date on the letter states 19th Nov, I only recieved it yesterday(22nd) , I don't know if that makes any difference.
I would appreciate any advice on the next steps . What are my options and chances going forward & how such cases have panned out lately.
    Many thanks.

This notice is not deemed served until Monday 24th. You then have 14 days to file an Acknowledgement of Service (tell the court you received the form) and a further 14 days to file a defence provided the AOS is completed, but no need to mess about.

Moorside are still issuing inadequate particulars so you will need a defence which mentions the Chan and Akande cases.

You respond to the particulars, you must only defend the points raised, do not provide any information that is not mentioned on the form. There are plenty of examples on the forum to adapt.

Yep, already written and linked in the Template Defence thread for all Moorside claims.

With an issue date of 19/11/25 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 24/11/25 and before 08/12/25 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 22/12/25
The claim form allows five days for delivery so receiving it on 22/11/25 is OK.
As @kryten3000 and @Coupon-mad points to use the standard defence template for Moorside Legal for poorly pleaded claims, which cite Chan & Akande.
