No need to act yet but look out for a Letter before/of Claim giving you 30 days notice from a Legal firm.

Hi all,
I have now recieved a letter before claim from Moorside Legal(attached). It was dated the 23rd July. Can you kindly advice on the next steps please.

Post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.
But please don't copy & paste the standard reply here not Moorside's reply to it. Spare us all this template stuff at this 'nothing' stage. We don't need to check what you send nor do any of us want to see their daft reply ever again, please!
And if you want to be part of the push to change things in future, it's very important that people like you tell the Government that:
a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 *almost* promised. As long as it is independent (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.
b). THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND ENGINEERING A 'PAYMENT PLAN'.
c). Tell them about your experience and how your case got to pre-court stage due to the broken system that leaves people no choice.
Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it in August pleeease! We will discuss it on that thread in more detail by next week.
Please bookmark it & come back as we need another week or so to think about our 'recommended' responses to the Consultation a bit more (what we won't do is provide a template, for obvious reasons).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
