Everest Double Glazing in administration

I'm down £23,972 paid by debit card. Only found out today, when chasing Everest up for an install date, then the ReSolve letter arrived this afternoon. Have tried the chargeback option via online form for both payments. No confirmation /response from NatWest. No NatWest phone number anywhere on their site either. Do banks still employ people at all?0

If the business continues to operate, you'll need to look at the terms of the contract to see if they allow you to cancel without penalty.0 -
I should add that the FAQ has been updated - and it’s less bullish about the business remaining viable than the post on 26 April.1

We too have got caught up in the Everest administration situation. Ironically, this happened on the same day that the surveyor visited our house. So far, only our deposit of £3,600 has been paid (on credit card) as 20% of the £18K total agreed. It appears that we avoided the next payment of a further 65% by just a couple of days, thankfully!
Like Guest2025 has asked, I'm also keen to know when (how soon) I can submit a section 75 claim? My preference would be to get my deposit returned & go elsewhere for my windows, even if Everest somehow continues in any capacity.
Lastly, I notice that the Everest website is now down. That wasn't the case earlier this week when it opened up as normal but with a notice from the administrators at the top of the page. Would this be considered an indication that the company is no longer trading & therefore unable to fulfil its orders, enabling Section 75 to step in?

When I spoke to Everest sales rep this morning he gave me the impression that assets had been passed to Anglian. So it might be possible for them to fulfill existing orders.
Not holding my breath though...0 -

For anyone looking elsewhere once this mess is sorted out, please look for an established, local, well-recommended glazing company instead of signing up with a big national chain. You're paying a premium for slick advertising and smooth salesmen, the units themselves are made in the same factories that supply everyone else and there's little incentive for fitters to do a great job when they know that slick advertising will keep the sales pipeline flowing in any case. Local firms survive or die on local reputations and are almost always cheaper, anyway.0
