Santander Easy Access Saver - What to do with it?

It’s Atom not Plum, Looked at so many accounts got them missed up. But it’s a week window so would have to let the money sit in a Tadem account I have for a week ish (4.9% compared to 4.2% Santander will be) before opening the account then I can transfer the funds from the RS saver in with it.BooJewels said:
I'm not familiar with Plum, but most fixed accounts have a limited funding window - usually 14 or 21 days from opening or first funding - so check the T&C to ensure it will let you do what you need.Johnny-Cage said:

It's for new and existing current account holders. So, you can open a current account and you become a new/existing c/a ac holder and qualify for the loyalty saver.Johnny-Cage said:
Just realised it’s only for current Ulster customers, so still need somewhere before May 19thgravel_2 said:

All my savings are gonna be used for a Orangey more likely early next year looking at rates thinking of using the Plum 6m fixed rate at 5.25%
Take it with Plum I can add more funds got 17k in Santander and 4.8k in Club Lloyds RS that matures on 5th June
Or could drop 20k in the Plum easy access ISA at 5.17%
any advice is much appreciated to any member on here0 -
Not advice, just info.: Atom, you can open 2 if you like - 1 for each of your maturities.
- You can hold as many Fixed Saver accounts as you like, as long as the total balance held in all your Atom savings accounts doesn't exceed the Maximum Balance Limit specified in the Fixed Saver T&Cs.

Cheers Chip seems popular so for the difference in rates might be better to go thereBigwheels1111 said:Johnny-Cage said:

Sounds much healthier to use Plum for your Orangery savings, rather than Chip.Johnny-Cage said:

Are you channelling the Harry Enfield and Ronnie Corbett "blackberry" sketch.
🤣🤣🤣How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
No. Just mildly amused by the names of most of the ‘challenger’ banks which give no clue about what they do.Sea_Shell said:badger09 said:

🤣🤣🤣Now, you knew exactly what Midland Bank were all about😉0 -
Thanks, the accounts are all set up and running. Pleased to say we experienced no problem in opening them - maybe we were lucky.soulsaver said:
If you've not got Ulster Bank acs, I'd start the application sooner rather than later... not the easiest to open apparently.torchie said:My wife and I have about £115K across our two accounts. I will probably run them both down to £1 and move the funds to our Ulster Bank accounts that earn 5.2%. I will give it another couple of week in case any new accounts are launched that improve on Ulster Bank.0 -
Aww Santander paid me my £10.17 interest early that was nice of them1
