Santander Easy Access Saver - What to do with it?

For those of you saying that you received a CHEQUE for your interest, is this because you don't have a current account with Santander?
I'd hope that they would be able to pay the interest straight to my 123L account. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
It was originally a 12 month rate which they later extended. I got rid of the email as I was no longer using it as Issue 3 was out by then paying more, but June rings a bell for when they extended it to.dealyboy said:I opened my Easy Access Saver Limited Edition (Issue 1) on 12th October 2022 and have actively used it and still do. I received an e-mail notification of a digital letter dated 11 April 2024 'Savings & Cash ISA Maturity Letter' in online banking ... 'Your savings account is changing' to an Everyday Saver (Issue 2) on 12 June 2024.
Are they picking on me?1 -
If you already have a 123 account then having the interest paid into it comes up as an option for you to select. I've just done exactly that this morning.Sea_Shell said:For those of you saying that you received a CHEQUE for your interest, is this because you don't have a current account with Santander?

I’ve decided to open a 90 day Oxbury account at 5.26% and have now closed my Santander, funds moved across was told 2 working days interest will be added to my nominated accountbadger09 said:
Sounds much healthier to use Plum for your Orangery savings, rather than Chip.Johnny-Cage said:
Cheers Chip seems popular so for the difference in rates might be better to go thereBigwheels1111 said:Johnny-Cage said:
It’s Atom not Plum, Looked at so many accounts got them missed up. But it’s a week window so would have to let the money sit in a Tadem account I have for a week ish (4.9% compared to 4.2% Santander will be) before opening the account then I can transfer the funds from the RS saver in with it.BooJewels said:
I'm not familiar with Plum, but most fixed accounts have a limited funding window - usually 14 or 21 days from opening or first funding - so check the T&C to ensure it will let you do what you need.Johnny-Cage said:

It's for new and existing current account holders. So, you can open a current account and you become a new/existing c/a ac holder and qualify for the loyalty saver.Johnny-Cage said:
Just realised it’s only for current Ulster customers, so still need somewhere before May 19thgravel_2 said:
A fair point.Johnny-Cage said:
Still 60 days notice given on a rates drop reading there websitegravel_2 said:Ulster is sure to follow...
All my savings are gonna be used for a Orangey more likely early next year looking at rates thinking of using the Plum 6m fixed rate at 5.25%
Take it with Plum I can add more funds got 17k in Santander and 4.8k in Club Lloyds RS that matures on 5th June
Or could drop 20k in the Plum easy access ISA at 5.17%
any advice is much appreciated to any member on hereNot used Plum, went with Chip 5.1% easy access isa.Only because transfers in and out are instant. Also it track the base rate. Will be loading it up as my 13 regular savers mature.Have you thought about paying the builder via Apple Pay?
I’ll get my coat😊0 -
@SAC2334, I’ve just logged into Oxbury and it’s still available as an existing customer2
