Santander Easy Access Saver - What to do with it?

Why are we so fascinated by what the app says - the account is dead. It's time to move on.11

That worked fine. Much less hassle than doing it online only to get locked out of internet banking and getting the third degree on the phone.Fingerbobs said:
I'm going to wait until tomorrow then pop into a branch with some ID documents to transfer the rest out. One day of interest difference on the balance will be less than 50p.3 -
My saver has been closed down now and accrued interest paid into my current account, took 2 working days.2

Interest should be credited to my 123L within 5 days
Be interesting to see how close I am to my guesstimate of £240 interest
Nice surprise. £327. Obviously had bigger balance for longer than I'd thought.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)4 -
I moved the balance to Chase early Monday (20th May) morning.
Phoned Customer Service to close the account ... unfortunately inexperienced advisor raised a cheque.
Yesterday, phoned Customer Service for clarification, raised complaint with request to cancel cheque.
Today phoned Complaints team ... cancellation of cheque and payment to nominated account within 5 days ... advisor retraining ... £50 compensation.
I estimated £140 interest but apparently £167. Santander obviously feel flush now they are reducing credit interest rates ...

Moved it into the new 5.2% flexible Cash Isa that Trading 212 has just started offering today. Also put some in Cahoot which is 5.2% on up to £3k balance0
