Santander Easy Access Saver - What to do with it?
Comments

My app on my iPhone hadn't been updated recently and it was still showing 5.08% gross (I chose monthly interest) all along, and this morning changed to 4.12% gross. I'm wondering if it's an android issue which first started displaying the AER and has possibly continued to display the old AER - would be useful to know who's using iPhone vs android?0

Mine is Android. Getting interest monthly. Online banking shows correct rate, as did the old app. Since the update the app wrongly shows the annual AER instead of the monthly rate.intalex said:My app on my iPhone hadn't been updated recently and it was still showing 5.08% gross (I chose monthly interest) all along, and this morning changed to 4.12% gross. The app is still showing 5.20% on my Samsung Galaxy S23.0

Making a second withdrawal for esaver has prompted their fraud team intervention (transfer declined and access blocked), even though the amounts are lower than many other previous occasions
I guess there is quite a large outflow from Santander at the moment4 -
Ditto on all counts - was showing 5.2% AER earlier.4justice2 said:

Used mine to create a bond ladder at HL while they've got a fee-refund offer on.

My first transfer out was declined and online access locked out, even though it was only a relatively small amount (<4k). Took about half an hour on the phone to recover online access.happybagger said:Making a second withdrawal for esaver has prompted their fraud team intervention (transfer declined and access blocked), even though the amounts are lower than many other previous occasions

I'm going to wait until tomorrow then pop into a branch with some ID documents to transfer the rest out. One day of interest difference on the balance will be less than 50p.0 -
That's our two accounts emptied apart from a small balance each, closure can wait.
Funds went to a mix of new Edge savers, new Cahoot Sunnyday savers, new Charter EA savers and existing Paragon EA savers...its been a pain compared to one account each but needs must.0 -
Ours all went into our current accounts and then out from there, as our new accounts had to be fed from the same account as our new nominated account(s).happybagger said:Making a second withdrawal for esaver has prompted their fraud team intervention (transfer declined and access blocked), even though the amounts are lower than many other previous occasions

We had a lot more pop up screens we had to select answers on for each transfer out from the current accounts to elsewhere, so i guess we escaped with automated security instead of the dreaded phone call interrogation.2 -
Mine is now showing the reduced interest rate of 4.20% on the app on android0
