Not sure yet what’s my best option
All funds are being used to build a orangery when I have enough so no credit is needed
currently 22k in Santander and 4800 in my Club Lloyds RS that matures next month

So don’t want the cash locked in a notice account
Thinking Easy Access ISA or the best Easy Access Saver account available
At the moment I do have a Tandem EA open

    Thanks for all the comments.

I think that I'll withdraw all the funds bar £1 and then close it to get the interest paid up.

One less open, virtually empty, account to keep track of.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I was going to revert to a 5.15% at Cynergy (issue 67) but am having all sorts of issues with login.

The OH is having the same issues too.

We've had dozens of these issues before but haven't accessed them for months.

Is anyone else having issues currently?

I have held a Cynergy account for several years and never had login issues. They do have a peculiar approach to logging in though

I've been with them since they were bank of Cyprus and remember it was a faff at first but never had a problem  since.

I hadn't realised the account was staying open at 4.2% for the Santander saver. So I have been helping my 17 year old get yet another regular saver going, this time with CO OP paying 7% for a year max £250 a month (its been really hard work). So I will get her to keep the sant saver as a feeder account for her other ones (Nationwide £200 a month saver and the £50 saver for 24 months). She also has her Nationwide bond that matures next May. So all the monies will be able to go to her LISA account once she turns 18 in 6 months time. She cannot wait to turn 18 and start switching bank accounts for the cash! Her plan is to have £8k in LISA by May next year which turns into 10K 6 months before she goes to uni! She will then save 6 months before Uni and this is bonus money for her.

My wife and I have about £115K across our two accounts.  I will probably run them both down to £1 and move the funds to our Ulster Bank accounts that earn 5.2%.  I will give it another couple of week in case any new accounts are launched that improve on Ulster Bank.

If you've not got Ulster Bank acs, I'd start the application sooner rather than later... not the easiest to open apparently.

5.2% Ulster looks like a good alternative account to use when Santander rates drop
