Chrome defaults to Bing (Windoze 11)

I have accidentally clicked on something which has replaced my default Chrome browser with Bing. Google searches on this problem advise to start trying to sort this out by clicking on the three dots top right of a Chrome page. How am I supposed to do that when I can't open Chrome 'cos Bing has hijacked it?

Bing hasn't hijacked anything. Your default browser has been changed to Edge by the sound of it....Go into Start menu - settings - Select Apps (left side) - Select Chrome - Select 'Set default'.
By the way, you spelt Windows wrong....🙄Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Using Edge browser, do the following
- On your computer, click the Start menu .
- Click Settings Apps. Default apps.
- Under 'Set defaults for applications', enter Chrome into the search box. ...
- At the top, next to 'Make Google Chrome your default browser', click Set default. ...
- To exit, close the settings window.

OK ... Microsoft has changed my default search engine to Bing, and it will not allow me to open Chrome. When I go to settings, then "Apps" on the left-hand side, there is no option to select chrome as you suggest. In order to set Chrome as my default browser, I actually need to go from "Apps" to "Default apps", then double click on Google Chrome. This then gives me the option to set Chrome as my default browser, by clicking on "Set default" which then shows a tick in front of it.
Before posting here, I tried that process several times to no avail. Hence my Googling the problem (as I said in my OP), and finding that I still can't open Chrome. When I try to, what I get instead is a page headed "Microsoft Bing", with "bing.com/?PC=Q621" in the browser search box.
By the way, thank you for your patronising comment about my alternative spelling of Windows. It was deliberate. It pleases me to spell it that way. We're all doomed1 -

Bing is not a browser - it is a search engine. (Duck Duck Go is another search engine, and there are others).Do you mean that Chrome is defaulting to Bing search engine rather than Google search engine?3

For Google search engine, try the following
- Open Microsoft Edge. Then click 3 small dots (top right hand corner)
- Scroll down to Settings
- On the left, click Privacy, search, and services.
- Scroll down to "Services."
- Click Address bar and Search.
- In the "Search engine used in the address bar" drop-down
select Google.

Thanks for that: I really thought you'd cracked it. Alas, I've now repeated the process three times for luck, but to no avail. Despite the default search engine now showing in settings as "Google (default)", nothing's changed: clicking on my Chrome shortcut still opens that Bing pageselect Google.

I do wonder whether you have deleted Chrome from your PC?
As has already been said, Chrome is not a search engine, and Bing is not a browser, so it's quite hard to understand what your issue is.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
In Chrome on my W10PC ...Open ChromeTop right ... 3 dots ... select 'settings' .... on the left click 'search engine' and choose Google from the drop down menu.1
