Sorry, not really keeping up much last couple of days.
Went to our friends for a drink yesterday - their daughter, son in law and 2 grandsons here from England. It was so lovely to catch up and the boys are so well behaved and so handsome!
Today, went out and got next year's cards and some paper - there seems to be a shortage of wrapping paper! Anyway half price cards at Clintons and WH Smith and rest from Dobbies!
We have had our big water hole filled in but needs finished off. DH watching Led Zep dvd which came with the double CD I gave him this Xmas (Moonship). DD so full of cold and feeling sorry for herself. We are all supposed to go to a friend's significant birthday on Sunday with Karting! It is a full race so DD has pulled out. DSIL still up for it as is DH. We have full heats before the main race! Thought they were all staying over - she says no as feeling poorly. Have told her to park the boys here for the night and have a night together. I will take them home on Monday.
Best wishes to those poorly people. Just want to special mention Twink who has lost her aunt, Kyle who has lost her Great Aunt and having health problems with the children.0 -
Just popped in quickly to say hello! Hope all who have been poorly feel better soon especially kyls ds's (((hugs)))
My dd had to come home from work yesterday with a really severe migraine, how she got back from London in that state was an incredible feat bless her and some (impatient and inconsiderate folk) were horrible, pushing her down stairs at the station! OH got her from the station and she came in and collapsed in the hallway, her older bro was great and carried her upstairs for me so we could get her into a dark room asap as that helps. So we went to doctors today and had her medicine changed as the migraines are definately getting much worse. She is still in pain today poor girl!
We are having a special meal tonight (chicken everglades and jacket potatoes) as ds's gf is staying with us, we had presents earlier that we had held back specially, dd has had a rest so hopefully will be able to join us.
Christmas day was wonderful and we have a super new coffee machine to play with!:j and a plentiful supply of coffee. Puppy had great fun with all the wrapping paper!;)

Hi Guys!
Had a busy day and didnt need too much done at the hospital but still there 3 hours:rolleyes:
Most of packing done for the morning, house cleared through, food to one side, meal plan printed, list of activities around Kings Lynn printed, board games packed, wheels packed and beds will be stripped in the morning before we leave.
My Boots order arrived today with most of next years birthday and anniversary gifts bought:D ...for the grand total of £42 including delivery. The smelly FCUK sets are particulary (sp) posh and were reduced to £2.75:o ...really pleased with the whole order.
Another wedding invite arrived this morning. It feels like the film "4 weddings and a funeral" ATM:eek:    We have been booked into the hotel where the reception is being held, so that be nice spending breakfast with friends. So thats 3 for next year (2 in Feb) already:rolleyes: I am determind to not buy another outfit as I have perfectly good clothes to wear already, but DD is after ANOTHER dress-she has offered to pay half though, but the dress she likes is £90:eek:
Anyway, hugs to everyone especially Twink/Kyle.

DLB those sale bargins sound great - I'm not even going to look - I really don't need anything.
PP - Hope you enjoy your time away.
Catznine - Hope your DD is feeling better - I used to suffer with bad migraines so can empathse.
Well I've done a freezer and cupboard inventory, bagged up all the left over meat to freeze down and blanched all the left over veg to freeze - we've now got enough in the freezer for around 23 meals for the 4 of us in the freezer so shan't need to shop for a while.
Went to see St Trinians this afternoon - very funny - I had tears streaming down my face at some points as did DH, girls loved it too. Rupert Everet was great and Colin Firth......well he can do no wrong so it was just lovely to gaze at him - his singing in the credits at the end was so funny too.
Had a peek at the online banking sites earlier - wish I hadn't but have sorted out a budget for the next month and we should be able to cope - all depends on tomorrows spend on new breaks for the car - they're very squealy.
Hope you all have a great evening - I'm off for cheese and biccies in front of the telly."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Evening everyone.
Well I've been taking it easy for the last two days. Yesterday I had a flare up of my health issues, which haven't eased. My foot decided to stop working as I was on the stairs, so I ended up falling and am a bit battered and bruised now. I've been shuffling around today. It also gave me the chance to list on Amazon and Ebay.
Not much in the way of OS to be honest. I have completed my first week of meal plans for January though, and spent a while reading the live on £4000 a year challenge over on debt free. Not sure we can do it, but there's some interesting ideas over there.
Haven't read through this thread yet as there's an argument over on benefits, but I will now.
:grouphug: HUGS:grouphug: to all who need one, who are poorly or have poorly children.

A very late Hi from me!
Big hugs to those who are still ill.
A big thank you to dlb!!!!! :j :j
After reading your post hours ago I went on the Littlewoods site for about 4 hours and bought loads of bargains including a pair of kicker boots for £31 which I've been after since I was about 14.:D I also bought a leather jacket for £18, a pair of clarks boots, another pair of boots, lots of cardigans, jackets, jeans, skirts and tops for DD1 and me. I did spend about £160  but you should see what I've ordered. The stuff was already 70% off plus the the 50% voucher code that dlb posted. So that's my sale shopping done from home and apart from new school shoes for DD1 I'm not going to buy anymore clothes until my birthday in May. (I did say yesterday that I wasn't going to go sale shopping!)
I had a bit of a health scare last night as I discovered my armpit was quite painful, so I examined myself as I have had a couple of lumps over the past years and started worrying about lymph nodes etc. I didn't sleep much last night as I'd convinced myself it would be the worst case scenario (as you do). Anyway I went to see my doctor this morning and after examining me etc she reassured me that it was nothing to worry about as she couldn't find any lumps and the pain was in the wrong part of the armpit. She reckons it could be a muscular problem and to go back to see her if it doesn't go in 3 weeks time.
Sometimes you need a scare to make you realise just what is important in life as DH and I were having a disagreement earlier on last night so that soon faded away as he was worrying as well.
Well, we were going to go out for a walk this afternoon but it started raining but we will be leaving the house tomorrow as we're going over to my MIL's to do her shopping and to clean the house for her.
Must get off here and go to bed!0 -
Evening all,
Don't seem to get near the pc at the moment...just having quick peep before I fall into bed...half the clan are suffering with some unpleasant bug, hope not coming down myself but not feeling great and am cross as hell at everything and everybody.
Hugs to all who are not feeling well and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Not going near shops as it seems that my money is not going as far as I thought so serious budget cropping to be done by 31st
Sleep well
