    Morning all.

KYLE, DLB, AMIE - hope all your LOs get better very soon. We've all had enough of illness now, haven't we? I've never known a winter like it - don't think I know anyone who hasn't been affected in one way or another.

My DH started truck driving at 3.30 yesterday afternoon and finally got in about an hour ago. He should have been home at around midnight but there was absolute chaos at his destination in Tamworth - loads of drivers all waiting hours to be loaded up. I think he has now got the bug - he was shivering and coughing as he got in to bed. He's supposed to be driving again tonight but I don't think he should. I'll see what he's like when he wakes up. At least I'm feeling a lot better now - not firing on all cylinders yet but definitely getting there so I can look after him for a change!

I need to visit the Co-op to get a bit more food in - DH's brother and his wife are supposed to be coming tomorrow to stay the night but, if DH is ill, we'll have to put them off - if he feels like I did, he certainly won't be able to entertain! I must add Lemsip to my shopping list - that helped me such a lot.

DONNY-GAL - hope you have a great trip.

Well, I'm going to have another cuppa then go for a shower so will call in later. (((Hugs))) to all poorly ones and hope everyone feels better soon and that these bugs finally burn themselves out. Thanks once again to everyone who wished me well when I was ill - I'm sure your kind thoughts helped me to feel better sooner!

    See you later.

    Good morning everyone,

HUGE ((HUGS)) to kyle, twink and dlbs DS3 - susie, dont worry about the comps too much, they have been very thin on the ground this week!!! you should catch up no problem when things get back on an even keel.

dlb - that doesnt sound naughty, very moneysaving!!!

((HUGS)) to anyone who would like/needs one xxx

Nothing much planned here, will prob take a few more decs down (doing it gradually, all the cards came down yesterday, and today im going to take the bits in the hall down. It means i can get things clean, but it still looks christmassy here, mind you, if it wasnt for the children it would all be down now.

On christmas eve, Sainsburys were selling all their boxes of eggs for 20p a box, no matter what they were, so i bought 3 dozen organic free range eggs, bbd 2nd Jan - so today we will be having boiled egg and soldiers for lunch!! Need to find that thread about loads of eggs for some more ideas and have a big session in the kitchen.

Thats it from us, hope everyone has a lovely day - :hello: to all those regulars who havnt posted over christmas, hope you are all ok and have had a lovely time xx

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning All

More (((hugs))) to those feeling unwell - perhaps we need another real cold snap again to kill of the bugs.

Kids want to go to town today to spend some of their Xmas money so thats what we are doing this morning. Hopefully it wont be too busy as its a small town. Think will treat us to a crossiant in my favourite posh cafe.

Will have a look in WHS at the book sale and maybe a quick peep in Dorothy Perkins. Had a look on sale websites yesterday but didnt get any bargains like you DLB! Did go on Lakeland website and spent a bit but mainly on full price stuff!

Once home will be doing paperwork and house work - also now have a mountain of ironing, not sure whats for dinner tonight will look in the freezers later - wont need to cook for DS though he has decided that he wants to stay at his Nans for a couple of nights.

Off now for a quick surf before I get dressed - have a great day.

  • Good morning all,
Sorry to hear some of you and yours are feeling rough. For those feeling under the weather remember to get some fresh air into the house, give any door/loo handles and taps a quick swish with an anti-bac wipe and drink lots of fluid.
Resolved not to go shopping again today. Have done well over last few days buying (just a handful) of pressies for birthdays and xmas next year. Have learnt to buy boxed things as they are easier to store! Bought some laundry/ shoe bag things in Argos for £2.49ish, even came boxed.
Hopefully cinema today. Hope you have fun or chill out everyone.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
