  • Hi again

    NELS that's scary

    AUSSIE thinking of you

DLB good shopping, don't need anything much at the mo but don't have any summer clothes, sent them all to a charity shop a month ago, so may have a look.

It's blowing a gale!!!! Have been to Tesco's to buy milk, cat food and a birthday present. It looked as if a swarm of locusts had been through. House is clean.

Off to work for a rest (just joking)

Oh !!!! and other rude words. The cooker has just died, was cooking on the hob when a burning smell started to come from it and next thing I knew there was smoke coming from under the hob me and dh quickly disconected from the mains and then lifted it into the yard where its still smouldering.

I don't need this I never replaced the microwave when it blew up in the summer so now I have nothing to cook with. DH is researching options its going to have to go on the credit card whatever we get.

    Arggh

  • Hi everyone

Weather here is awful (raining and windy) today but have braved town and got my cards and wrapping paper for next year!!!

Popped up to Tesco and got a few bargains - garlic bread reduced to 30p and eggs reduced to 60p so got those so i can have a cooking session tomorrow.

Been round to see my cousin this morning to give them an engagement card and a bottle of bubbly (he proposed on christmas day). Now waiting for another friend to come round so quite a busy day for us today!!!

Hope everyone has a good Friday

    Liz xx

Well we were invaded by OH’S sister and tribe last night. It was a good night and my buffet went down well so all was good.
OH took me to the bank earlier. Swopped £20 for £2 coins for my terramundi pot. It is getting very full (or at least it seems to be ,but it can be deceptive  ) when its completely stuffed we are gonna put the money off the finance we got to get the heating done. Thats one aim this year to pay at least a grand off that bill.
Think it may just be ham and chips for tea. I cooked a joint of ham the other day (first attempt and by eck its fandabbydosey....if i do say so myself :D )

    afternoon

To all those who have that horrid bug ((hugs)))

aussiegirl---lol, you made me laugh with your emergency list!!

Well, I have managed to do two good deeds today:

    1) a stray dog came up to our front door, when I had just come back from the shops. I took her in and called the dog warden, he has now collected her and she is safely waiting for he owner to pick her up (hopefully)
    2) ds1 turned up in a twis was, his girlfriend, who has just had dgd is poorly, she woke up in the night with that sicknesss big!!!!! He needed to go the shops and get some more sma for dgd . I gave him a lift to shop and then back home. Hopefully dil is now on mend. I will phone later

apart from that it is very quiet here atm, gonna walk the dog and then figure out which takeaway we are going to have tonight:T

We went to town and miss tru picked some frames, the glasses should be ready by next wednesday. I really wish mr tru hadn't come with us - the car park was £2.80  The minimum charge is now for 2 hours  It would have cost me £2.70 on the bus for an all day ticket. Then we went to Iceland, where I was just going to buy bread and milk but mr tru 'needed' pizza and other junk  Spent £25 in there.

Today, I discovered that I only like tuna from a tin :D We bought some tuna steaks from the indoor market (I've never had fresh tuna before), we thought we'd have it with new potatoes and peas. I thought it was horrible so I only ate the pots and peas

Mr tru has disappeared into the shed 'to make something' I'll let you know what the 'something' is when he finally emerges :D

Oh and Ellie, where do you live? I'm a bit bored so I'll come round and do your washing :D

Back from dentist...................phew.................no pain thank goodness, just a quick temporary filling for now. When our surgery opens up again in town I've to make an appointment to have the crowns sorted out properly.
One is particularly loose and its really the peg underneath thats a bit iffy.I've two choices.................have a new crown at £194.................bit pointless if its the peg it will stick on thats loose anyway................or I can have another tooth added to my part-denture.............£48....................big enough difference in price to make my mind up I think.
Surgery in town had a fire and won't be open now till March so I'm stuck till then but can aways go to the one 15 miles away if I have any trouble.
So, not as bad a day as I thought..................£15.40 for the filling though !
