Hello,
haven't been on much since the weekend - first we all came down with this horrid sickness bug and then we went on to see family! Hugs to everyone who is ill.
Not much planned today - going to set off some cabbage and potato soup in the slow cooker in a moment and then later put together the chest of drawer that we bought DD for Xmas (she got toys too... am not that cruel).
Really fancy an outing tough - might convince DH that we need to go for a walk somewhere!
Have a good day all off you!0 -

Morning all  :hello:
sorry to hear so many people are ill - seem to have missed it this year thank goodness - it really can wreck christmas
DLB - which catalogue was that on that sounds like a fantastic shop you had.
Had a lovely Christmas day and Boxing day at my brothers - the food was fantastic:j (must find Murphys no more pies thread again:D ) Santa was quite good to me this year so as well as the gallons of body lotion I normally get I also got some useful stuff(dont know why all my friends and family seem to think I need enough body lotion and creams to bathe in:rotfl: )
Coming back from my brothers yesterday was not so fun though. I left about 10 for a 2-3 hour potential drive and joy of joys no traffic on the roads:eek:  then I get to the M62 and my lovely baby car (now nicknamed spawn of the devil) decided to break down quite dramatically:mad: Total loss of clutch when doing 80 in the outside lane of the motorway is not a lot of fun (thank goodness there wasnt much traffic about) So to cut a very long story short 2 RAC vans and 2 recovery trucks later I get back to Warrington to ceremonially dump the car in the garage 8 hours after setting off:mad:
So I am now carless until the garage decide whether they can fix it today or after the New Year:eek: Need a car to get to leeds over new year so if its not mended then it will be an expensive hire car for me - great:mad:
Ah well I guess these things are sent to try us and if I am stuck here today then I will have a little tidy up, do some washing then fill the bath with body lotion and start to make a hole in the stock:rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a good day all and get better soon to all the sickies

Morning all,
Lovely sunny day here but very windy.
Battled my way round Milton Keynes yesterday, which was no fun on crutches. Got a few bits though.
Today's plan is to empty the washing basket and have a tidy, also do a meal plan for next week, then probably do a small food shop.
Also hoping to have a clear out DD's wardrobe. Sooo many clothes for a 12 year old.
Hope you all have a good day and hugs to those who are ill.0 -
Hello everybody,
Just a quickie for meas I'm off to bed. Been in town for most of the day and then been battoning down the hatches in the yard. The cyclone is steadily coming our way. They have evacuated Fraser Island already. We won't know until the weekend as they are so unpredictable. So if I go AWOL you know we've all been hit by tidal surges and we are floating somewhere in the Pacific ocean.
I hope we don't get evacuated in the dead of night or something. That's all I bl00dy need. :rolleyes:Note to self
1. Shave legs
2. Wear fetching night attire and not my scabby nighty.
3. Eat all chocolates in fridge.
Twink Kyle gave you one, so I'll give :grouphug:
Aril Congratulations. :T
Nels Poor you. Lucky the highway wasn't chocka block.
Shez Your mother was visiting your brother in Perth wasn't she? They have had really bad heat waves over there40+ degrees and bad bush fires. (arson)
Bet she's longing for cooler climes already. :rotfl:
<Hugs> to those who are sick or with children that are sick. Hope you all have a lovely day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all,
Had a lovely Christmas with family in Scotland but have been without PC or TV for five days (Christmas day viewing in my parents' house was Setanta Replay - yes, really. Replays of football matches that had been played weeks ago! I don't know how my mum suffers it.)
DS and DD are with XDH for the next five days so I plan to use the time to decorate DS's bedroom. Room has been emptied - DS couldn't believe how much stuff he had crammed in it. Going out shortly to buy the paint (if I can find the tester that he has decided on).
Bought one of the reduced Panny's on Amazon and my very first loaf is baking right now. I know it won't work as I pressed the wrong type of loaf  so this one won't be the success I was hoping for.
((((hugs)))) to those who are ill, received bad news, feeling down, with money/family/work troubles.
Have a fantastic Friday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning Everyone
Having a lazy morning, dd seems under the weather and is currently lying next to me in our bed. DH bought us a freeview hard disk recorder for christmas so we can now get cbeebies in the bedroom which is fab.
Today I need to get the house tidy and the washing under control, tomorrow a lady from the cat resue place is coming to vet us so we can get the new cat we've chosen. Later we may go for a walk along the pier or too the pinewoods in Formby
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all.....................shan't be doing much today. Emergency dental appt at 2pm and have to go to the surgery 15 miles away as the one in town is closed till March.
Must get my two front capped teeth sorted............expect they'll just be filled today and then a lot of appointments made for expensive replacements ! Ouch..............hurts the purse !!
Never mind..............I'm saving on Christmas and Birthday pressies next year by making some gift hampers/boxes (whatever container comes to hand) and costing them out in advance so I don't get carried away when buying stuff to put in them.
De-cluttering will continue tomorrow.................can't concentrate on that and my teeth !!Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Morning all...........just.....((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.
I posted last night, but it went into the ether and I just could not be bothered to do it again.
It is very blustery this morning. We were going to go into town, but then I thought about peaople mooching around and fighting over sales bargains and changed my mind.
We went to the lottie, I cut a cabbage and dug 2 leeks, also filled the spud bag. We then went to take books back to the library, Tesco for the TV times and wilkos for a calander, this is the first year we have not had one sent from the US.
Back home to finish up the smoked salmon in a sandwich for lunch. Spag bol for supper.
Have not read the thread, so will do so now.
Hope those of you who have been under the weather are feeling a little better now.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
