DCB Legal. Another one bites the dust

Good afternoon MSE community,

I have been trying to follow the procedure in order to fight an unfair parking claim by DCB legal, recently I have received a letter stating that I have not replied to the claim form and that I am ordered to pay costs. When I log in to the money claim gov site it states that:
"A Judgment has been entered against you. You cannot respond to the claim at this time but you may apply for the judgment to be set aside."

So far this is what happened:

Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 15/12/2023

Your acknowledgment of service was received on 18/12/2023

A judgment was issued against you on 05/04/2024

I sent my defence to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk on 07/01/2024

When I logged in to MCOL in march the claim was still being considered

I'm unsure of what to do next.I would like to use the set aside process if possible. As you can imagine I'm panicking a bit.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

When you submitted your defence, did you receive an acknowledgement email (auto response)?

When you logged in to MCOL in March, was your defence logged as having been submitted and received?

Hi nopcns, thank you for your reply

    1.  Yes I recieved an ackowledgement email (auto response) the same day.
    2. I honesly cant remember the exact message, wish I screenshot it now. I believe I did see the word "considered" within it

Does this mean I now have a CCJ against me for the next 6 years?

    Thank you

No it isn't. On who's behalf are DCB Legal acting?
What entity is named in the Claimant box on your Claim Form?

You just complain to the CCBC and they can set aside that CCJ at no cost.  You do not need to fill out an application so don't let them tell you that.

You can also ask for compensation for wrongly causing you a CCJ.  Have a look at the thread by @jag_run (he got a couple of hundred compensation for a CNBC error).

Although do note that the email addresses have changed a month ago. Here's what to do; posted two days ago:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
