I'm still waiting for a DQ three months after filing a defence. It will come when it is ready.
Wow. That is lengthy. I'd be afraid they would have said it was sent I didn't report it as not being received and a judgement once again being made against me. I will call the CNBC when I muster the courage to wait in a phone queue for another hour to find out if there is a deadline.

I wouldn't bother about deadlines or phone calls, just keep checking your MCOL claim history until it shows that the CNBC has posted out your N180, check it maybe every other day, or twice a week

The CNBC are extremely busy and backlogged, so you are in their hands, even if the claimant acts promptly

MCOL claim history is your overwatch on this, keep checking weekly, but expect a couple of months

Just download your own N180 and fill it in ready for sending when your MCOL tells you one has been sent to you. Until MCOL tells you it has been sent... it hasn't.

    Good afternoon MSE community,

I have been trying to follow the procedure in order to fight an unfair parking claim by DCB legal, recently I have received a letter stating that I have not replied to the claim form and that I am ordered to pay costs. When I log in to the money claim gov site it states that:
"A Judgment has been entered against you. You cannot respond to the claim at this time but you may apply for the judgment to be set aside."

So far this is what happened:

Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 15/12/2023

Your acknowledgment of service was received on 18/12/2023

A judgment was issued against you on 05/04/2024

I sent my defence to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk on 07/01/2024

When I logged in to MCOL in march the claim was still being considered

I'm unsure of what to do next.I would like to use the set aside process if possible. As you can imagine I'm panicking a bit.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

Hi just following up on this post as I think this same issue has happened to myself. I believe because I sent across the email to the wrong address like you did. Did you just email the new email a complaint and they set it aside? Did you receive any compensation? And how fast were they to reply?!

Yes I emailed the complaint to: caseprogression.cnbc@justice.gov.uk & dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk, with proof of their auto response to my original defence attached and the defence itself attached again also. Their response was quite quick, a few working days. I received an email response from: ccmccandccbc-complaints@justice.gov.uk. They ackowlegded receipt, apologised for not processing it, judgement was set aside. No compensation as the case is still progressing and the claimaint wishes to pursue anyway.

Briiliant .... you had a good judge who understood the scam. Sadly there are still some judges who need to be re trained

DCBL and the rest of the legal coven should be worried about the courts. especially with their timewasting antics

Just wanted to update the forumites, that this case went to court. I'm pleased to report that I won the case! I was not awarded any costs because I did not take a day off from work and travel was minimal.

The case was won on the basis that I had my tenancy agreement and a note from my landlord at the time presenting me a parking permit.

The final claim was close to £1100 in total with all the added extras. So I'm very pleased I went throught the process to defend this claim. Court was intimidating at first but I felt I was treated fairly and my prepared evidence satisfied the judge.
A BIG thanks to those who have helped on this forum!!
Yay, well done on your win!

They proceeded to a hearing because it was a multi-PCN case.  They follow the money.

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
