KM, the doctors are covering themselves by saying that there might still be some brain damage. But I reckon with the progress she has made already she's going to be fine. Fingers crossed anyway.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

i'm so glad you've been getting good news. You wait won't be long before the baby is out of hospital and making her presence felt.0

Evening all.
Mother and baby are both improving daily. Baby no longer has any tubes stuck into her as she is now being fed breast milk. She's still in the incubator though.
I'm taking her son and my two neices to Deep Sea World (totally extortionate prices but a good day out) tomorrow then I'll take him into the hospital for a while.
I thought I'd try my luck with a lottery scratchcard today - stupid stupid stupid idea. £2 down the drain. I also met a couple of friends and went to Starbucks for lunch. Felt like I deserved a bit off time off and a treat. Their passion and carrot cake is to die for! So my purse took a bit of a beating today and will be even worse tomorrow. I'll be good from Sunday onwards - promise!Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

Fantastic news about Mum and baby improving, I am so pleased for you/them. I kept thinking about them after you posted how ill they both were....I just don't know how I would have coped if that had happened to me. Have a lovely day out tomorrow, you deserve it."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

The baby opened her eyes for the first time tonight.
Spud, you haven't missed her name, I haven't posted it yet. I know names are very personal but I really don't like this one. She's being called Paris. It's probably just me but I can see so many horrible jokes in her future.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

It sounds like she is coming on in leaps and bounds now.
Paris - well, it's an...interesting name.(quite cute imo, but I can see where you are coming from, and it does have the 'Paris Hilton' connection)
But I do think people grow into their names, and if it seems odd now, once you are used to it, it will just be her name, and you wont think any more about it. As for the horrible jokes, I can pretty much absolutely guarantee you she wont have the weirdest or funniest name in her class when she starts school!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
