Moneybox Cash ISA

Yeah exactly.Zopa_Trooper said:I suppose its like car insurance. If you don't have an accident, you'll never know how good (or bad) they are.
CSB is better with communication, you can call them at least.
Moneybox is hard, cos when you have an issue, its compounded by not being able to speak to anyone, and they take a week to respond to a message.0 -
I did. It wasn't *great*, but I think that was mostly the incoming bank (Metro Bank) rather than Moneybox. I found the Moneybox customer service okay. I'd use Moneybox again (as opposed to Metro, whom I would not).Canny_mal said:
Oh really? That's interesting. Have you got first hand experience of transferring an ISA away from Moneybox?dlevene said:Moneybox use your NI number as the account reference for transfers
I'm just thinking about the ISA transfer forms I've filled in in the past and they all asked for an account number and sort code or alternatively a roll number as eskbanker mentioned. I just don't want to limit my transfer options because of the way Moneybox operates their cash ISAs.
The NI number is the account number for Moneybox. I don't think you'd be limiting your options.0 -
I've got first hand experience of transferring out of Moneybox and, yes, you use your NI number.Canny_mal said:

The transfer met my expectations but my expectations were mostly "medium". Their staff didn't seem to know much about the process. They also have an odd requirement where they only accept requests from your receiving fund by email, which raised a few eyebrows given that email is not exactly a secure communications method.
How do I transfer my Moneybox ISA to another provider? | Moneybox | Save and Invest (moneyboxapp.com)
But the transfer worked and was completed in about 8 days. Note that they say that you cannot open another ISA with them if you transfer one out, not that I'd want to.0 -
Successfully transferred most of my LISA from moneybox (to dodl) earlier this year. Went fairly smoothly. As others have said, NI number is account reference. Also, they sent me a message saying that once all the money was transferred out I wouldn’t be able to reopen the account, so I had to point out I’d requested a partial transfer so there’d still be some left in moneybox.Canny_mal said:

You can see your account details when you start to make a deposit into a moneybox account. I was worried about this as well but when you get to the later stage in making a deposit, before actual transfer of funds, the details come up and I could take a note of them.0

I have an existing Moneybox Cash ISA opened last year and now want to transfer it to Cynergybank https://www.cynergybank.co.uk/personal/online-isa . Its application form has a list of ISA providers but it doesn't include Moneybox. Cynergy told me that if the provider is not on the list, I can't proceed. Who is at fault here - is it Moneybox or is Cynergy's list outdated ? Any suggestions about how I proceed ? Cynergy are adamant they can only allow transfers in from their list of providers.0

It's not necessarily anyone's fault as such, but if you're determined to transfer then you could work around it by going via an intermediary third provider who's compatible with both Moneybox and Cynergy?phguk said:I have an existing Moneybox Cash ISA opened last year and now want to transfer it to Cynergybank https://www.cynergybank.co.uk/personal/online-isa . Did you manage to transfer your Cash ISA out of Moneybox? I want to do the same but to Zopa instead and I'm experiencing the same issue.phguk said:I have an existing Moneybox Cash ISA opened last year and now want to transfer it to Cynergybank https://www.cynergybank.co.uk/personal/online-isa .
