May? Then you have to attend a Mediation call.  Discussed already in other threads.

    Sorry for the late reply

I found an old form online that got me out of the mediation call thankfully (might have been better to agree in hindsight as DCBL might not have bothered to attend)

I have now had a letter that sets a date and time for a hearing and a deadline for a witness statement

What do I need to do at this stage and how far before it inevitably gets dropped?

I assume that my trick worked as the form give states that mediation is not suitable

The 12 steps in the Template Defence Announcement will cover where you are now. Before too long you will likely receive an 'offer to settle' which is normally the precursor to discontinuation. But ... you must crack on with your WS in case they continue to push forward. Take nothing for granted.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

To read about WS and find the standard a-f list of recommended exhibits, go back to the second post of the NEWBIES thread and read the second half of the info in that post.

Posters need to search the forum for a recent Witness statement example or ten. I'm not posting exemplars as things change and people copy old stuff.

How different is the WS to the defence I had to make a few months back?

Totally different. Read the guidance. See what others have done.

I have now received an email with a £150 offer of settlement.

Does this mean that they are on their way to dropping the case and should I reply to reject the offer?

Reject, or ignore and wait for the next development, but its a typical last ditch attempt to get the money before they discontinue

I saw what I should include but I am not really sure which of them apply to this case considering how my circumstances are quite unique.

As my defence mentioned the location of the keypad should I include that too?
