DCBL Letter of claim

Options
A few days ago I received a “letter of claim” from DCBL on behalf of Total Parking Solutions.

I have emailed them (dcbl) a dispute letter now but I remain unsure as I don’t really understand the newbies thread sadly.

The letter doesn’t include any formal documentation but rather just a “28 days to pay” asking for £140.

Go back and re-read the Newbies/FAQ thread and especially study the bit that tells you how to deal with debt collectors. STOP communicating with DCBL.

Does a “letter of claim” in this format fall under the other vague threatening letters then which I have ignored?

Yes it's covered in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

That says to email whoever sent the letter though who in this case was DCBL?

Do I need to contact the DVLA or any of the other governmental authorities at this stage?

No.  I don't understand.  The NEWBIES thread walks you through what to do.

Just do what it says there (please don't repeat the LBC reply here, as we don't need to check what's already in the resource thread).

Am I correct in saying that there is nothing I need to do until I get a formal summons except for the one email?

Yes you are correct to say that... but you will not get a summons.
