Couldn't get in last Sunday. Managed to get in on Thursday and a few minutes ago.Edited to add: I don't remember if there was a warning message on Thursday. However no warning message today.0

NS&I would not comment on how many customers were blocked from logging in. It said some problems may also have been caused by ‘time drift’.
This is when the device you are using to log on, such as a laptop, is out of sync with the mobile phone to which an authentication code is sent.
To solve this it suggests you check time and date settings on your phone and make sure it has updated.

I think that explanation is a load of bull, unless they mean their own systems were out of sync with one another. If it were the customer's device it would affect all time-based 2FA and they wouldn't have been able to fix it on their side. Besides, many of us will have tried logging in using the same device to receive the code (which is a SMS message, the contents of which don't depend on the date and time set at the recipient's end).3
