hi Katejo new electronic scales may be more unkind than previous ones!   with mine i have to lift one front corner of the scales slightly usually with my toe and put it down again and then it shows 88.88 for a couple of seconds before going to 00.00 which is when i step on.  Mine are only cheap Salter scales as I didn't needs more complicated ones to tell me how much fat i was carrying  :#

I have just been to Sainsbury's again and bought a different brand (Habitat) just to compare them (only a budget one again). My previous broken one and my new one earlier today were both Salter. On the new Salter one, it wasn't responding well when I tried to get it to display 0.00. It is working better on the new one  which did correctly give the 8 8 8 8 and then adjusted to 0.00 and is giving me lower readings than the new Salter did this morning. I will compare them tomorrow morning (when I usually weigh myself)  and maybe try to take the Salter one back
I know I have lost a little because the trousers which I wore yesterday fitted me better. A month ago they were too tight.
One consolation is that a friend who unexpectedly  invited me for a meal this evening has cancelled at the last moment!

Well done Candiii a great start  :) i have rounded you up to 8.5lb on the chart

Nice and steady and consistent General as usual  :)

Ditty from your 8/16 I'm assuming you are fasting for 16 hours after dinner?

Katejo I have noticed new scales never make you thinner!  just avoid kicking these  :)
I told a colleague about the smashed scales and she said "That sounds like the sort of unlikely domestic accident that occasionally makes it into tabloid stats!" When we report losses (or unfortunate gains), do you amend the chart with the  figures and symbols?
