Good result @honeythewitch I know that to lose all my excess weight (a lot) the small consistent results will bring more in the end than the occasional big loss. So that 1lb is fab.K x4

Morning all. Loving the losses! Keep up the good work 🙂
Here to report a loss of 3.8lbs
I've felt hungry a few times this week but chose water instead of cake for once lol happy to see it's paid off. Week 2 can go either way for me so very pleased
Starting weight - 306.2 lbs
Last week's weight - 297.8 lbs
This week's weight - 294 lbs
Total loss - 12.2lbsCommon sense is not common
Small progress is still progress
Weight Loss Challenge 2025 - 30.8lbs/73lbs6 -
Friend gave me an M&S "hamper" - individual portions of cake included.
I then found myself, in my head, blaming her for making me break my good eating habits instead of being truthful with myself for simply over-eating when the BB dates didn't even require consumption within the month for a number of the items.
This is not the first time she has given me food which I don't really want but how do I stop her? I've already said you don't need to give me presents. When it is jars of jam, there isn't a problem - they simply sit in the cupboard for a year or two before being used in order of age (I have a shelf full).
As she insists on sending presents and it would be difficult to refuse a DPD/Amazon delivery, the only way I can see is the next time she mentions getting a present for me I say I want something like a book which has just been published. However, I really do not want a present of any kind - I have enough going on in my life already.
Any way, writing the above has helped think about the situation.5 -
General_Grant if she doesn't listen to you can you donate to a food bank or is there any charities near you which regularly look for raffle prizes i know the local schools here are often looking for school fetes. As you say would be better if she listened to you but there are only so many times you can say it without causing offenceLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6

I only managed a 1/2lb this week but at least it is down!
SSue sorry your group have finished, good luck you can hopefully follow their plan and use us as the weekly WI and look on the bright side you can weigh naked
Candiii - nearly a stone loss already this challenge and well done on winning the water v cake battle, i'm drinking water myself this morning to get to lunch without a mid morning snack, unfortunately i find the afternoons more of a challenge
Ginger it's good to see your mojo is carrying on into this quarter as well - you go girlLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4 -

Look its lovely of you to give me presents and I DO appreciate it. But I am really trying hard to (whichever your situation is) lose weight/slim down/lower cholesterol/get healthier generally.
This is for both my physical AND mental health and unfortunately these food items are NOT helping, as my friend I hope you can see this is not good for me and as my friend I hope you want me to be happier.
PLEASE.....I am asking you nicely, no more food.
Alternatively you can donate as previously suggested but I'd just say the above, only stronger.3
