@Sensiblesaver great work continues on the mortgage, fantastic! Sometimes it is better the devil you know, ie, you know the worst about your current place! But then again, would the new job offer better scope for earning in the future? I always love a pros and cons list!0

Thank you for your comments. The devil I know respects me and leaves me alone most of the time. We've had our moments in the past but she knows I am not intimidated by her and I speak up. I have been there longer than her and watched the business grow from the start. I also have a very good relationship with the boss and when her behaviour starts to get bad I go and complaint to him which she hates but then things get better for a while.
The new job might have the potential to earn more, but is struggling at the moment. I really liked the owner but I think I will stay put as I am on a good path right now and want to achieve my goals for the next 5 years. It's a kind of risk I will be more willing to take when the mortgage is gone and I wouldn't mind working lessOriginal mortgage 2016 -£310,500 Current balance Jul 25 -£181,135

1 month has flew by. Holiday was amazing, had a lovely time with family, friends, sea, sun
Kitesurfing was great fun, but still improving my skills. DS missed a couple of lessons as he was not well. He also had surfing lessons.
Last week I was very tired and ended up with a cold, so it was hard to get back to a routine. Work was so so, a bit quiet some days and busy others. DS got his first GCSE result (statistics) and he got an 8, proud of him.
I had some spare money form the monthly budget and sent to the mortgage, so total OP this month was £1633.77. I get paid on Wednesday and have done my budget. I was going to do a big OP but decided to replenish my cash savings as I had to send more money while I was abroad as we spent quite a lot.
Plans for the bank holiday are to stay at home, enjoy the weather, exercise, tidy the house a bit, cook and prepare my meals for the week.

Thank you, it does feel better starting with a 1
Feeling a bit bleurgh with this weather, so dark and gloomy. I did go for a 6k run, went past a house for sale and had a look online. It's beautiful but would mean a bigger mortgage, DH quickly brought me back to my senses and reminded me of my own goals of getting rid of the mortgage lol
I made another small OP of £25. Mortgage now -£198,635Original mortgage 2016 -£310,500 Current balance Jul 25 -£181,135
