Yes but you can't use the short defence.  That's not the comment to read.

Is your court Leeds? Or Reading? They lose defences all the time.

@Coupon-mad so just to confirm before sending anything, my email will include only the following in the body:

"Dear Sir/Madam

Bearing in mind the contents of the defence I would strongly suggest that the judge makes the attached order in support of which I also attach transcripts of two cases which support the proposition that the judge should make the order I suggest

Kind Regards"

And in the email, I will have 4 attached docs - my original defence, draft order, Chan transcript, and Akande transcript.

Is your court Leeds? Or Reading? They lose defences all the time.

The court is Clerkenwell & Shoreditch County Court.

Well not quite, you clearly need an introduction explaining why you are emailing and what is attached.

The defendant has received this doc from the court the other day, and it seems they need to file their witness statement. Is the deadline date 3rd of Jan 2025?

Also, the defendant received this letter from the claimant solicitor along with the their witness statement.

Yes it is  - as stated at the top of the second page of that Notice.
