Found the different threads for making pizzas....just wondered what happens if you don't add yeast, cos some of the recipes say to use it and some don't.

Does it make the base 'rise' so you get a deep-pan type of one? We only like the thin and crispy ones anyway :D

So if i can miss out the yeast, all the better, especially when i remember my disasters at making my own bread

Hi all! Wonderfull breadmaker has arrived and I've been busily playing with it. I've made some pizza dough tonight but as it took longer than I expected the family are allready fed. What is the best way to keep the base until tomorrow? I've allready stretched it out onto a baking tray and now it's doing its last bit of rising. Should I bake it as is and then top tomorrow, or maybe top with tomato base and cheese, part bake and then finish tomorrow?
    Thanks

Not got a bag big enough but I'm guessing that cling film will do?
Seems such a shame to not be eating it tonight - but when my lot are hungry they need to be fed there and then!

Part bake the base, so it does not grow (if you put it in the fridge unabked it keeps growing, although slower than if it was at room temperature) then top tomorrow and finish baking.

Hi, I made my first pizza base the other day. I put one half on the Pizza tray to rise I didn't have a big enough bag, so i used a white pedal bin liner well oiled, and that worked fine. The other half i put in the fridge in a thin white bin liner and that "rose " so much that i thought the" beast from the fridge "was hiding in our house. The dough was really good and my lot really enjoyed the pizza, much better than the bought ones.
