  • Awww that’s fantastic, well done you.

Did you share with your wife the struggle ?
Yes I told her. She didn’t really say too much and was pleased I didn’t gamble.

We had a good Sunday which really helped to be honest.

  • Massive well done. You have made and continue to make huge strides, really glad to read you managed to resist that urge.
Thanks, all of the blocks make it near impossible.

Urges will come and go. Saturday night was a bad evening for them.

I am astounded at how many gambling ads there are on TV - it normalises this behaviour, encourages people who are likely already struggling to pay their bills to spend money they don’t have, and I think it’s awful 😞

Well done for continuing to make progress and for tackling this head on.
    Thank you both.

Sadly we will not see a change in adverts until there is a shift in the mindset of supporting gamblers and compulsive gamblers like me.

Well done mate. I’m made up to read that you resisted it and are still gamble free.

You’re doing so well and are in a good place. Sharing this will help others in similar situations too.

Sorry I can’t say more, I’m completed !!!!!! whacked and need to get to sleep but it’s smashing to read your update.
  • One thing you're doing really well on here is appreciating the small steps, the small milestones. Had a good Sunday? You recognise. Another day/night/week/month gamble free? It all adds up. And this will do wonders for your mood and your mental health.

    So pleased.

well done - another weekend, another battle but I know you have got this under control.  Your resilience is amazing and will take you through the crises that will arise every now an again (and hopefully less frequently as your gamble free days grown and grow - nearly a year now think how good that will feel!!
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
