  • Congratulations on the 6 months mate, incredible achievement!!!  :)
  • Hope all is well, wanted to congratulate on 6months!
  • Evening All. I am proud to say I have not been gambling or playing cards for over 6 months.

Moneywise has been a bit tricky with debt payments and a few extra bills that have sprung up.

One part of my recovery is less screen time which results in me not updating on here!

    • Every single penny is being used each month.
    • Expecting a substantial pay rise from December which should be around £250 month that will go on debt
    • Iphone is cleared in December £62 a month
    • I have £500 sitting octopus account so reduced DD to £50 to free up £150 a month towards debt.

  • Good to hear things are going pretty well for you. Great news that you have managed to stay clear of the gambling, I can't imagine how tough resisting that urge has been so well done.
  • Well done, that’s amazing.

Great to have you back - and especially with your determination increased and debt reduced

Diairies can run without daily attention - I used to post daily and still do sometimes, but mostly I try and post at least every other week just for the routine and accountability

in terms of your pay rise - up to you what to do with it but maybe keep a little of the first one aside for a family celebration - I Know that £0 owing is a huge target (be it a single card or the whole pile) but you need to celebrate life's rewards as well - plus its good for you to accept a pat on the back for your efforts
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Over 6 months is fantastic, it'll feel like no time before you're posting your 1 year without gambling.
It sounds like you've got a really good grip on the finances and looking like you'll be in an even better position come December.
  • Excellent work, I think sometimes once all the changes are made it feels like there isn't much to report and that's fine! You're on the right track

Kudos to you! That's an awesome update. Please check in with yourself and make sure you're not pushing yourself too much - I'm sure it's working for you, as evidenced by this great progress, but I worry about burnout with this sort of schedule. Look after yourself!
