I’d leave Google pay there. I set up Apple Pay when on a train to London for work, having realised I’d left my work and personal cards behind. Only one of my cards would let me set it up from the banking app, but at least I didn’t have to go straight home! I use it more than I thought, and it does mean I don’t feel the need to take my cards/wallet/bag everywhere with me every time I leave the house. Handy for fuel, supermarkets, coffee shops etc - most places seem to take it.6

I used the Nero offer yesterday Cheery. It’s drink in as well but you have to choose each month/week(?) - you can’t have Greggs and Nero, or that’s how I read it anyway. (It says when you go into the offer.)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ah yes, it does indeed say you have to pick one. Fair enough, if a little annoying!
Greenbee, you're probably right, and I may well leave it set up for emergencies, if I can link it to the main bank, which I couldn't from the app, but might be able to with the card - something to try later today. The main reason I was considering taking it off was because it made me set up a screen lock on the phone which I don't usually have and which is annoying - but that's probably something I should have anyway, so I'm going to leave it for a couple of days and see how I feel...5 -
Yes you should have a screen lock!7

Ha, well I shall consider myself told, although I've never had one up to now! 😂
As predicted, we did end up going for a potter around town. Quite a good charity shop haul between us too - a dress and a coat for me, both of which will come in handy for this week's conference.
Got back and pegged the washing out, although it likely won't dry much now.
The new greenhouse panes arrived yesterday, and while I've put up two of the old ones that have come out, I've realised I don't have enough clips for all the new ones. Failed to find any in town, so have ordered some for delivery tomorrow.
Currently sat in the greenhouse listening to a slightly incongruous combination of skylarks and a couple of tawny owls 😂😂6 -
I set up Google pay after my Sister took 2 of her children away for a couple of days. Whilst sitting on the train she realised she had left her cash and cards at home. She set up Google pay and they had a lovely time.
I planned to set it up as a backup. I find it so convenient I now use it all the time. I also feel less vulnerable as I don't open my bag for my wallet.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Whilst men have started carrying bags I have virtually stopped. Stuff I may need like purse & mobile are in inside pockets. Cards are in breast pockets. I look forward to seeing someone trying to pick my pocket whilst inadvertently touching my breasts which is unlikely to go unnoticed, whereas cutting the handle of my handbag would take only a second. I can't believe the stuff I used to carry around. Now I only use a handbag if I may need to wait for something & my pockets aren't big enough for my kindle.

I rarely take a bag either these days - always use my phone to pay and mostly just take phone and keys when I go out. Was definitely a lockdown thing for me - no expectation of paying cash anywhere and no need for anything else (although usually a small bottle of sanitiser too).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Another who just takes a phone now, tbh if anyone can access my online banking - my money is the least of my worries as they’ve hacked my thumb off 🤣🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge 822
