That's good to know!
Transferred £1500 out of the savings account to current - that should ensure all bills can be paid early next week even if we can't get the NW dosh back.
I was planning to set up a regular saver with the co op at 7%, but I've already got £550 a month going into regular savers and I don't really want to lock away everything!
Pondering a payment of £500 I noticed going out of the main bank this morning. It says to my name, and the ref is dp/so, so I assumed the relatively new regular saver, but have just realised that should be £300, not £500 (unless I've set the darn thing up wrong, which is possible... 🙄). Off to investigate (need to start work at some point though!!)6 -
Aha, no problem, it's meeting the conditions for the last switch - I'd forgotten we had to transfer dosh in 3 months in a row (that's for the cashback, the switch itself was pretty simple!) Good job I set up a standing order 😂
Also, my switch incentive for TSB has arrived! 😁 £125 for me, and there should be £125 for Mr Cheery, but he's in the middle of something so don't want to disturb him. Excellent news 😊9 -

You are doing so well with the switches! I think I might give one a go over the Easter break - I've not done any in ages. I like the idea of using it to (partially) fund a trip 😊 I'd better open a donor account before the weekend begins...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Definitely give it a go! I've over complicated things by trying for TCB cashback on the TSB one - it introduced all kinds of extra conditions, and meant that we then couldn't use that for the next switch, so had to set up new donor accounts.
Anyway, my NW £200 has arrived today too, so I'm feeling very flush 😂6 -

I might well go for the RBS one I think - I can't see there is anything to lose, and that really is minimal hassle too isn't it, so long as I just open the free account!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Interestingly, MSE credit check thing email came the other day and I checked it - back up to 996. It was substantially lower last time and I wondered whether it was all the bank switching, but I've done more since then and it's back at the top again. Maybe just a glitch?
I don't really care, just curious!
Where is the day going?! I've been trying to wade through enough of the backlog to write myself a sensible to do list for before I finish for Easter, and somehow it's 3pm! 😱10 -
@Cheery_Daff with the co op regular saver you are not locking the money away, the t&c say monthly deposit between £0-250 and unlimited withdrawals.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Current account is looking considerably healthier this morning with the addition of the £325 bank switching incentives. Mr Cheery's £1250 has been in place for more than 24 hours now so we can start shifting that out later (both busy today so it might end up being tomorrow). Hopefully rhe savings account dosh will arrive at some point today - it does say next day if requested before 12, which it was.
Anyway, busy work day today, best get on...8
