Glad to hear you are feeling a lot better, ISOM.

Still have allotment envy, have put myself on our local list and may take to going buttering up a few folk in order to get on the list.

I love friday nights gardening programmes, and really loved Christine's garden. Good olf fashioned no nonsense down to earth gardening...love it.

Evening all! Hello pepys!! RS why dont you putthe book on green metropolis & see if you can make some dosh! I've got about 6 to read at the moment so no rush here plus i already have next months book group book (Mosquito coast!) to read first! Very generous of you to offer though & much appreciate the thought but PLEASE go make some money (so you can get another book!!). Got two from charity shop today for £3 in total & nice thick ones - two thrillers and am half way through persuasion which I have read 1/2 of before but never gt to the end!
Nice day at work but someone left us which was sad but we got to have a nice lunch! Other than that will be good to have a weekend but am on call which means extra day due to bh. Plan to go to allotment, MUST do CJ as its posting next week and will do reading & general chilling! Pate is yummy & just had some for supper on toast! deeeelicious (if I dont say so myself!). Also made £6 with marmalade so all good & helps the rubbis budget for this month! Will end up o/d but not horrendously so if I can help it! Mind you if I didnt buy books that would help wuldnt it eh! Have realised that it really is my one real weakness - have managed to stop mags (or get them on tesco points!) but books I havent managed to stop! Will do a car boot soon though and hopefully may make some back! Will see if mum can come up inthe next few weeks. Had a letter from concultant re back and may delay it for a while as he wants me to loose weight and I want to do it slowly & healthily rather than by cambridge diet which would be quick but would pile back on again just as quickly! Plus dont know if I could do it again...I didnt eat a single thing for 6 months last year but really dont think I could do it again!!

No worries, I know what it's like to be overwhelmed by books :rotfl: but if you do change your mind in the next few days let me know. Definitely worth a read though it's not one I think I'd read again. Bought a couple this week with an Amazon voucher from somewhere and through Abebooks (some good bargains on there plus you get Quidco cashback though not loads).

Sounds like a nice weekend ahead.. enjoy! :)

Morning debtbusters! Well have woken nice & late feeling the effects of a bottle of wine...yuck! Mouth like a gorillas armpit, head pounding & feel sick. yum! Will no doubt be a asted day whch is just anoyng & I must come up with some alternative treat strategies as its blatantly obvious that wine just doesent agree with me much as I like the taste!
Watching shipwrecke and amused at a 20 year old having a teenaged strop cos he cant get his own way! Must get out more!! Hope all ok and havin a good bh weekend! I have an aversion to bh weekend traffic so volunteered this time to be on call! Not great to be on two w/e running but means even money so good!!
