  • Evening all! Have had a lovely day..leisurley breakfast followed by brief shopping and then off to the plot. Stayed with friends to eat lunch and then went and sorted the shed. Alas I had created a lovely home for a mouse and had to be rescued by an 8 yr old who I have to say was much braver than me!! I can cope with snakes and all sorts but mice scare me half to death! Pathetic I know! Had a good gass with people and ran out of steam after the shed so will do the greenhouse next week or sat. Nice to get it tidier as hate clutter even in teh shed. Possibly a delay tactoc from actually digging etc but feel its a bit early and weedkiller needs time to work before I start clearing the plot. Tonight am just going to chill and have an early night. Have managed to get my hair back to brown after a disasterous red of yesterday which wasnt me at all - she's definately cut it too short but thankfully my hair grows quickly and it will mean longer between cuts!! Now happily relaxing ith wine.
Am going to church tomorrow for the first time in ages and feel a wee bit nervous and will wear a skirt to make myself feel better! then having lunch with a fried and pud (merangue) is in the oven as I type...Going o try my licorice ice cream later...yum yum!!
Hugs all! Am actually quite looking forward to going back to work but really hacked off when I spoke to book bloke who now says he cant buy for a few weeks...ahhhhhh - never known someone so unreliable! Even more annoying is that theyre taking the hall up!

  • well again not a great nights sleep - woke at 2 and finally got back to sleep at 3.40...too much thinking and the emptional readyness for work I think...
Went to church this am and was pleased I did. Havent been for ages and tried a new church and the minisher was lovely - very genuine and I suspect quite shy..people friendly too but I know a few as they went to my last church.
I did my hair survey (the one I get 70 for - wales only tough) which I'm quite enjoying as its quite different from others I've done. Then went to lunch and came home and tried, unsucessfully, to snooze so now just going to relax and get an earlish night but not too early! Fingers crossed for tomorrow...hugs all...just hoping theres something suffienciently tatty on tv!!

Missed you ..so heres hoping you get a good sleep and that work is ok.
  • umm...not good sleep but yet again will try and have an early night and get a good nights sleep. Hopefully the fact that its now 3 nights with no sleep and I'm actually in work (as opposed to thinking about being in work!) will help...

Just done the bills, payments and sums for the month and umm...somewhere I've mscalculated what I paid this year which is more than a bit annoying - 1 because I miscalculated and 2 cos its ave 250 a monthish this year which isnt great. Must do better but hopefully it will just continue the must do better feeling I've had of late! Good things is I'll be able to do babysitting again, can do on call (am on this w/e), am doing car boot and have a decent ammt coming rom quidco and survey I'm doing...
Went back to work and as expected it was a shock to the system. Left at 2 and tomorrow I have the second of my staged return and am going to a funeral and managed to change docs appt. The rest of the week I'm on training so a gentlish week in many ways....felt soooo tired by lunchtime having waded through 200+ emails - post tomorrow - how exciting!
Tonight need to finish my square for patchwork class tomorrow and get my box ready (going to use stuff I already have and left the range empty handed so chuffed with that!). Hope youre ok...being honest feel a bit despondent as was sure I'd paid off more this year than I had...never mind though eh...back on the old wagon again!!

  • The main thing is ISOM is that you have paid off something and your debt is lower despite the odd setback. Keep saying and thinking "babysteps"!. You have done really well this year.

    Good luck with carboot.

Yeah I'll second that KP! The DFW journey is much tougher than it looks on paper. We are only human after all & whilst we try to keep on top of things, we also need a life at the same time. Over £2,000 in 9 months paid off your debts is a great achievement, especially when you have so many outgoings. I can't say whether things will get any easier for anyone, with the price of everything going up, but the main thing is to enjoy life & remember that every pound paid off is a pound closer to being DF. Chin up ISOM, you are doing really well!

I agree with the others.Whatever you've paid off is a another £1 not needing paid. You will get there in the end as above noone knows when as it's so turbulent out there so anything paid off is good x
