If I borrrowed from an interest free CC card and paid it in to an ISA - say 1500, at 6% is it worth doing? the interest would pay off the fee and then what was left although could be an extra bit of mony towards the debts.

I think it would make around 90 pounds a month? mind you my maths is rubbish.

    any opinions?

Don't forget though that you have to pay the minimum payments each month!

That would be £250 roughly over the 6 months that you wouldn't earn interest on!

Plus the £90 is an annual rate. As it's only 6 months the interest would be nearer £45!

Edit: So probably not worth doing. If they charged 2.5% for the fee you might make a fiver if you're lucky!

Yeah I did lots of bad maths and decided it would be too complicated for my brain and not enough money to make it worth it. ceers tho x

I am cold. must turn up heating.
and defrost/empty Freezer. women coming to collect it - freecycle. lets hope she is genuine and not some nut job/criminal.

and then its friday and MUM will be home!

nope its no good am shivering!!! will be back at the weekend Enjoy the rest of the week people!

    Nevertheless she persisted.

  • I said I 'd be back at the weekend but I can't keep away!!!

and it is almost 7 and I am not even half way through my chores and i NEED to be up at 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

only managed to put shopping away fridge lady not coming till Saturday.and got to tidy up the conservatory

right so I will eat dinner, put shelves in shed, move fridge in to hall, and then tackle the (freezing cold) conservatory. might have to put the heater on out there not DFW but I loathe being cold!

just the recylcing, I might try and move furniture but that could be amibitious, although I could patch up the hall painting, that would be easy I think...........
famous last words! you watch I 'll watch the simpsons and be on here all night!

No, I must remember that this will make Mum really happy. I will be well pleased when she comes home to a clean tidy house.

  • I'm sure your mum will just be pleased to get home to YOU, and won't notice if the house isn't spotless - i am sure a quick tidy and vacuum will do fine.

Good luck with the driving lessons, its such hard work i know, but it will be worth it in the end and you are right about it opening up job prospects etc.

The credit card stoozing is much too complicated for me. I think the 'credit crunch' is reducing the availability of good deals too. All in all too much effort i think.

Good luck with the debt free quest!!
  • curses I am still here!

    and the simpsons are on!!!

    I have no willpower!!

    Hey Buffy!

Happy Easter! Went and did the same today in the spending stakes...and all because I was bored (!?!?). Trying to distract myself with things around the flat to do!

    Hows the re-planning going?
