oh lovey x don't beat yourself up about it, can you draw a line under your spends and start afresh? unless you'll never wear the items then could you return them?
  • there are two things I can return which would come to about twenty quid. which I shall do.

I went out today - as it was the last day of term to the pub. have been thinking. back in a sec

  • Ways to solve my problems
    good Question Olive.

    think I will just spill.

    1. painful period. going to ask the doctor if I can go back on the pill, my skin is so bad, I caught sight of myself at the pub and it looked awful

    2. saw an old friend last weekend. He (of course) and I had a good conversation or so I thought. he hasn't been in touch since. I need to get over him, like yesterday, so I should think about that some more. I have loved him for a long time. it is destructive to keep seeing someone once they have made it clear they don't want the same things as you. it must stop.

    3. my friend is going through hell.I will see her at the weekend. she had a lovely husband.

    4. my other friend is moving away. friday. I am putting together a box of house warming stuff for them, and I will make a plan to visit.

    5. my mum is miserable. this is part of loads of things. to do with my sister and me and the house. I will do what I can when I can and make sure I am out when they come round.

    6. I am putting tonnes of pressure on myself to "enjoy" my holiday whilst also trying get as much done as I can to sort out my life and be more organised. hmmm this is HUGE on going thing procastination and then a big stress when I feel I havent done enough. I do it to myself.

    7. I really want to get married and have kids. I need to get number Mr number 2 OUT of my head. yep, there are other men in the world as I found at the pub today. I quite fancy one of my collegues. I think he maybe a bit of a lovely distraction. gorgeous eyes. sighs.

    8. I should with draw from OU. I am screwing it up. so I will study all weekend if I am not up to date then I will withdraw. waste of money but it is causing me a lot of stress worrying about everything.

    9. I have been spending money like mad. i bought a skirt and top today, spent fifty quid in sainsburys. on nothing. undone all my good work. this whole overspending thing is part of me being very unhappy at work, I get depressed I spend. I have joined the overspend/overeat thread. and will return some items.

I know this looks a bit mad! but at the end of term i think its good to take stock and work out some solutions to the problems!

and I paid some money on my credit card. just to keep a little focus on the money!!!

    xxxxxx

Ah (2) - most of us have been there. Just use (6) for "switch off" time - do you read? Do you have time to get a couple of "Bonk busters" from the local library before you go on holiday? Mainly take your holiday just to DO NOTHING (7) don't stress about it - it will happen (8) speak to one of their counsellors - they are very helpful. As for the over spending well we all do that sometimes - stress is just a trigger. Return what you can (if you want to) and don't fret over it.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Your list and solutions look workable and helpful. You can get there!

It's no help probably on the man-search but Popeye evolved for me when I was exceedingly happy and contented being single. I'd been mostly single for NINE years  and I looked into the future and imagined being single for the rest of my life, and I didn't hate the view. So much was I happy that Popeye had to be really really persistent just to take me to dinner :o
But you sound like a really good and caring friend, so any man would be lucky to have such a loyal and caring partner.

You need to start loving yourself too, stop beating yourself up over perceived flaws! If the procrastination bothers you, write a smaller to do list. You're more likely to complete it, I remember seeing on someones sig on here "write a list of things to do, put "eat chocolate" at the top, then at least one thing on that list will be ticked off"

    Your list today can be:
    • go to shop without purse and return items not required.
    • take today off, it's the first day of the holidays and no teacher I know has energy at this point in the term.
You can put eat chocolate at the top if you like :D
  • I am very glad I started this diary. you lot are so lovely I feel very lucky.

I have a terrible headache. still. am helping a mate clean her house tomorrow she is moving, I will miss her. think that is causing the headache. sounds mad but I don't really cry anymore. just seem to get headaches!

after she has moved I will get on with my various plans with eat chocolate at the top of my list.

    thank you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
