Whenever we've had skips we've asked for it to be lifted same day. Not interested in having one on my drive for weeks. We got them in morning then couple of hours filling, away same day

Today we changed plans and didn't do the cinema, the little one had some money from family for easter so we went into town and let her chose what she wanted, then went for lunch, which was funded by eating out budget. Food shopping will be sorted tomorrow, back to work tomorrow and official start date for my new role but not sure of the transition yet. So for now it will be carrying on my tasks I have planned, I have a really early start in the morning as I need to be in Birmingham for 6:30 which is a good 2 hour from me. Hopefully on return to office I can catch up with my manager.

    Overall finances are looking okay,

It has been nice time to have an extended break and for once I managed to actually relax. Hope everyone had a good weekend

That sounds like a nice long weekend off. Good luck today! I don’t envy that long drive or early start though.

The early start wasn’t too bad, drive down was pretty decent due to time and no real traffic. Overall it got the job completed successfully so another project ticked off 😊.

Honestly today has felt no different to any other day really, although I did finish around lunch time due to early start. I’ve had a brief chat with my manager to see what the plan is and there doesn’t really seem to be one 🤣. I’ve been asked not to take on any more projects but to prep my current ones for handover.

In financial news I’ve ordered food shopping to come tomorrow night and also topped up car fuel. I’ve spent a lot on fuel these last few weeks purely due to travelling around for work so need to claim that back.

Well, that week flew by. It was nice to have a shorter week but procrastination really hit me this week. I need to try figure a way to adjust to the new office environment…why are ppl…so loud 😅.

No food shopping to do this week has we did quite a big shop on Tuesday, this should do us for a while. There will also be some meat that gets frozen i suspect. Petrol spends have been off the charts already this month, so this is definitely going to be overspent for the month end.

We don't have lots of plans this weekend, we need to visit my mum to drop off her card n present for her bday - we also have like a little family murder mystery game that the little one is super excited to do ha. Also, really need to tackle the decluttering more, possible tip run so we will see how that goes.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

today has been the perfect day after such a draining week. We’ve been out and about to mums for a flying visit, followed by a trip to park to let little one run off some energy. I even managed to have a nice soak in bath n some downtime reading. The evening was a quick dinner and then relaxing with some tv. It’s been a nice day and I enjoyed been able to switch off a bit

Today has been another relaxed day, just how a Sunday should be right. I have done a few bits of cleaning and then a nice roast dinner :) I have mainly just watched some YouTube and not much else. I plan to read my book for an hour or so later.

We have managed to see savings creep up slowly towards £200, which isn't much but it is still progress. There is currently a fair bit been put away for spending money for holiday so once that is done we can start looking at ramping up more savings.

You are sounding really positive at the moment which is great. Having any savings that are staying in the bank has to be a good thing. Well done.
