Sounds like a very sensible decision all round. The good thing about florida is there's always something new getting built or updated so it will still be there in 5 years time just waiting for you all to enjoy 😉 😀

Ultimately this swayed it tbh, we feel it will be a very crucial period for her and by doing it this way we get the nice holiday (and potentially a break in the October holidays) and she gets to start high school refreshed and settled.

It wasn't the easiest decision, but the right one. I do think when we go we will all have a fab time and likely follow up with more visits but for now its the best option

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend, today we have had a lovely day. We got tickets to a stunt show which we all loved! and then a nice quiet beer in our local. We are now all preparing for another busy week ahead, let's see what the work week brings. I have filled up the car and that should hopefully take me through to payday but we shall see. We have got plenty of food in for now but we will see how we progress through the week.

Next week I am in London for the football, covered this with personal spends and petrol will be covered by the group of friends going. It should be a nice day and cheaper (well as cheap as it can be in London) for the fact I will be on pop!.

Sounds like a relaxing sunday! We went to two boot sales (OH resells as its made more money last year for him than him being self employed) we had roast dinner an hour ago and now time to chill out!

It was a really nice day, it isn't something we would have normally gone to but it was fun!. We also walked round an old ruined monastery - I used to go there loads as a kid so we had 15 mins to burn so took daughter and she found it so interesting (she is an history geek lol! She loves greek mythology too).

When we go on holiday we are hoping to take her to an old roman amphitheatre.

Ooo nothing beats a good roast dinner

Another busy start to the week, it is crazy how easily we forget them relaxing weekends once we are back at the office haha. It's been a bit of rush day to try and sort out stuff for a job tomorrow - but sorted it eventually. Today marks 2 years since I began my role here and it still feels like on occasions I struggle with stuff.

After about 60 attempts to cancel the holiday, it has now been done and refund on the way. We also booked our May getaway and now really looking forward to what will be a bit of a less manic break away. I really am looking forward to a break. I have changed my holidays at work and will decide whether I keep a week to have off back end of October.

Food spends to top up with milk / bread and stuff for work lunches. This leaves us one weeks spends left which should be plenty.

Personal spends have covered hotel for the weekend football.

Well done for getting a refund! I imagine it can be a pain.

@BlueJ94 Cancelling the attraction tickets was very straightforward and refund within 24 hours. TUI were a nightmare to get hold of, four days overall to finally get sorted but it’s done now just awaiting funds hitting bank. We are all just looking forward to our holiday in 4 weeks 😊

Holiday was booked on CC but then paid straight off with the funds we have.

I do need to book car parking at airport which I will sort this week

Bit of a mixed day today, but we keep going.

I have had a nice relaxed evening. I made curry and chips for dinner and just going to have a nice hot chocolate before bed. Late nights seem to be something I am slowly fading out of. I have an office day tomorrow and then WFH Thursday. A few people at work have germs so I am doing my best to not get them haha. I have managed to avoid eating lunch out as well, but will treat myself to a nice midweek coffee treat in the morning.
